We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had some huge safety concerns. At 3AM we were awaken by the smoke alarm in our room going off. It was not going off consistently so we figured it was a dying battery. We called the front desk and the woman was clearly woken up by our phone call. She told us to take down the smoke detector ourselves. I expressed concern about this and asked for someone to come to our room to replace the batteries or the smoke detector. When my husband took down the smoke detector, he realized that it was hardwired and a ton of water fell out of the ceiling when it was removed. We explained this to he woman and she sounded frustrated and said that she would call someone. We ended up being able to get it off without dying and called her back and told her not to worry about it. I sent a few emails to them and called about this concern because it poses a huge safety concern. They have been extremely dismissive and blamed us because we had dogs in the room and the woman said she was scared of them. This was ironic because I was talking with the woman earlier in the night about them being mini dachshunds. If she would have told us she was scared of dogs when we called at 3AM we could have put them in the bathroom temporarily for them to come fix the issue. They claim to have fixed the smoke detector but I would not be so sure. They have done nothing to make this situation right so I felt it important to warn others that they do not care about your safety.

This hotel was freaking awesome! Super clean, super nice staff, they have snacks downstairs that take tap which was awesome! They are right in the center of everything you need, the pool was nice and clean. Beds were so comfortable, water so hot! The parking lot is lit up at night so you don’t have to worry about people breaking into your cars, and feel comfortable walking around or hanging out in their picnic area, the outside was kept up with! They even have Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Disney plus, you can log into your own accounts on the tv. We had 3 kids with us which of one is a baby and felt comfortable having them with us, they enjoyed the hotel as well! We rented a buggy across the street and drove it to the beach and it was great. 10/10. I did not try the breakfast but I’m sure it was great!

It’s located right between the ocean and the ferry! Room was cleaned and smelled great! Requested a down stairs and they accommodated us!! The breakfast was on point every morning! The pool doesn’t close till midnight! They also rent out golf carts and have a happy hour from 4-6 pm! The staff were so friendly! Will definitely be out to go place now!!

Update: this is an honest review and i can provide reciepts for my stay! not sure what the owner is talking about below... so I have lowered all the stars to 1. I never even spoke to the owner and my original review was rated 3 stars with rooms rated 2, service rated 3 and location rated 4. After looking at the bad reviews and the hotel response to them, I understand now why the hotel is responding the way they are. I am not the only one that has said these things about the hotel. I highly suggest Amelia's landing! Way better customer service with rooms that are cleaner! The rooms have so much to be desired. They dont replace things to make them look good or maintained, they wait till it completely brakes. Our towel rack was coming out of the wall, the bathtub faucet was coming out of the wall. Cleaning could be done SO MUCH BETTER. It smells HORRIBLY of bleach. Walls, appliances, and even the floor wasnt wiped or moped. The towels had red rusty stains. There was visible mold on the door jam. They will not adjust prices, or fix the price for your stay. I advise you do not make reservations. Most of the office staff is okay. The morning lady who dresses up nicely was very nice! Overall I wouldnt stay here again.
