About the event

“I sing because I am happy, I sing because I am free.” - chakathaiyow

KCD Entertainment LLC, in partnership with Pride Northwest, Inc., is proud to present the second concert of the BrandNu Project: A Vocal Monet four part series.

Themed around the holidays, this highly anticipated live performance will take place on December 20th, 2026, at the midtownbeergardenpdx , located at 431 SW Harvey Milk St. Doors open at 5:00 PM, and the show begins at 6:00 PM.

Brandnu Project: A Vocal Monet serves as an empowering celebration of the strength required to navigate spaces where marginalized voices have historically been gate-kept. The
performance is an activation of Pride Northwest’s Black Rainbow Initiative. An initiative under the Community Resilience Program of Pride Northwest. Black Rainbow Initiative was designed to uplift Black LGBTQ2SIA+ stories. Funded by the 2026 oregonmetro Place Making grant, Brandnu Project: A Vocal Monet is a profound vocal portrait of resilience.

This second series leans heavily into a spirit of pure gratitude, tracing the musical foundations and vocal origins of the show’s visionary and emcee, Kourtni Capree Duv. A Black Trans native
Oregonian and a legendary 30-year veteran, Duv uses this chapter to explore how a lifelong gift of song makes room for authenticity and healing.

Brandnu Project: A Vocal Monet features a powerhouse lineup of Portland’s most iconic
vocalists and dynamic sounds:
