About this place Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River

Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River is an LGBTQ+-friendly hotel located in Post Falls, Idaho, offering a welcoming destination for queer travellers visiting the area. As part of the Red Lion Hotels chain (now under Sonesta), this property combines established hotel standards with a commitment to inclusive hospitality. Situated on 414 E 1st Ave in downtown Post Falls, the hotel's riverside location provides scenic views and convenient access to the surrounding community. Whether you're visiting for leisure or business, you'll find comfortable accommodations in a setting that values all guests. Post Falls itself is a smaller Idaho city, so nightlife and dining options will be more limited compared to larger urban centers, but the area offers natural beauty and outdoor recreation nearby. As an established hotel property, you can expect professional service and standard hospitality features. For LGBTQ+ travellers, choosing venues that are explicitly welcoming—like those listed in GayOut—helps ensure a comfortable and respectful stay. If you have specific accessibility needs or requests, contacting the hotel directly is always recommended to confirm they can accommodate you.

I had a fantastic stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome. The amenities were a nice bonus, especially the pool area for relaxing after a long day.

Worst front desk I have ever come across in all of my years of staying in hotels and travel. The front desk could not print out. Our receipt upon discharge was not able to figure out the charges was making up different numbers of what our card was being charged $75 and then an $11 in addition to the room stay asked what those charges were for. They didn’t know took my name and number and my email address and was supposed to email me a copy of the receipt after she talked with the manager six hours later still no email still no phone call call back to the hotel and talked with Natalia Peterson, who was no help either could not figure out the system was not able to give me an idea of what was charged to my card or what was refunded to my card asked to speak to a manager she gave me the manager Nick’s phone number however, it really was not his number. It was calling back to the front desk, which is exactly where I was talking to in the first place with Natalia makes absolutely no sense when we got to our room there was somebody’s dirty nasty shirt on the back of the chair in front of the desk, nobody ever checked on us to see if we needed a new towels for the next day when I called to the front desk to get more towels they said that I had to come down to get them. Poor customer service. Also no breakfast was offered as in prior years for soccer tournament. Referees usually were given a sack breakfast. Week later finally called and got a hold of manager Nick, and he”never” got any of my messages.

I have been here several times and just love the atmosphere here. It is in a beautiful setting with wonderful views. The lounge is very nice and they have great entertainment. The rooms are nice, clean and roomy and some have a small balcony overlooking the lake. The staff are wonderful caring people--Mykenna, Sarah, Shawn, Maddie, Natalia and Conrad--thank you for the wonderful experience and thank you for taking care of me!!! Highly recommend this place!

The shower in the men's bathroom next to the pool/hot tub has been out of order since new years eve/day, mentioned this to the front desk, left a google review 4 months ago, talked to Madeleine 2 weeks ago, still broken. I'd like to book family at your hotel next month, is the shower ever going to be fixed?
