About this place Mirabar

Located at 15 Elbow St in Providence, Mirabar is a gay bar that welcomes LGBTQ+ visitors looking for a laid-back night out. The venue is known for its strong drinks and a music selection that leans into queer pop and hip-hop, creating an energetic atmosphere for dancing and socializing. The staff here takes a low-key approach to hospitality—the kind of genuine, understated friendliness that makes you feel at home without being over the top. If you're into pool, there's a table available (with a cost to play), and the space around it is spacious and welcoming, making it easy to shoot a few games with friends or meet other folks in the community. Whether you're a Providence local or visiting the city, Mirabar offers a casual spot to enjoy a night with fellow LGBTQ+ travellers and residents. As part of Providence's gay bar scene, this venue represents the kind of neighborhood hangout that many LGBTQ+ travelers look for when exploring a new city—a place that's genuinely welcoming, has good music, and doesn't take itself too seriously. It's worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for drinks and good company.

There is indeed a certain kind of man that lives in total contempt of women and he works at this bar…that unhappy scruffy guy with glasses threw my ID at me after checking it, presumably because I am young and beautiful. It is absurd to me that in 2025, at a gay bar, we are treating each other like this. Crazy work. Made a good cocktail though.
