The VU Lounge & Bistro

Absolutely love the loungy vibe of The Vu. The drinks are crafted to perfection and the food tastes even better. Great place to sing Karaoke or even play a game of pool. Our server Casey was so attentive and professional. Would absolutely recommend for a date night or night out with friends.

Truly, the server named Casey was fantastic, hyped everything on the menu so I obviously I was skeptical. She indeed was right. I'll be coming back and letting her be in charge.

5 stars across the board! The VU is a MUST if you're living or visiting Providence. I recently hosted a 100+ person-party and my experience was top-notch. From working with the staff and fabulous owners, planning was a breeze. There is plenty of seating options which makes this space cozy and niche to the PVD scene. The kitchen was the cherry-on-top, great quality at a great price. Can't wait to visit VU again on my next trip to PVD.

Had a fantastic time at the VU Saturday night. Great food, great drinks (I got the blackberry and basil smash mocktail, and haven’t stopped thinking about). This isn’t your standard gay bar - definitely more of a lounge - as the name implies. It was perfect for actually socializing with friends - the music wasn’t too loud so we could actually hear each other and the seating was very comfortable. Our server (Andrew) was knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel very well cared for. So happy Providence has a spot like this now.

Recently visited The Vu's new location for the first time with a group this past weekend and was extremely impressed. The overall vibe, spacious interior, array of seating options, tasty cocktails, and friendly staff made this experience extremely worthwhile. The owner Darlene even helped us push together tables so my entire party could sit together. Our server Andrew was so incredibly lovely and very attentive. I felt very safe and comfortable, and can't wait to go back!!!

Such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. You can really tell they care about quality and about their customers. The menu needs work, very limited and small portions.

We stopped in this past weekend and the staff was very kind and attentive, the drink list was fun and creative, and the owners were present assisting employees and chatting with customers. The vibe is fun, friendly, and welcoming

Bar staff closed out a great night by helping us take photos. They wouldn't let us take bad pictures really made the night!
