Rhode Island Pride
About This Event
Rhode Island Pride, held in downtown Providence every June, is the region's flagship LGBTQ+ celebration and one of the largest in New England, drawing well over 100,000 people. Its signature draw is the Illuminated Night Parade — the only major nighttime Pride parade in New England — which lights up Washington, Dorrance and Weybosset streets after an all-day PrideFest of live entertainment, vendors and community groups. The tradition dates to Rhode Island's first march in 1976. Organized by the nonprofit Rhode Island Pride, the festival and parade center on downtown Providence around Kennedy Plaza and the Empire/Washington Street corridor.
