Diegos Bar Nightclub

During the winter, Diego's bar feels quite lifeless; it resembles a disappointing school reunion with poor music and overpriced, low-quality drinks. The owner also lacks good customer service, and could benefit from bartender training. Their "plastic cup drinks" often cost around $12 and are poorly mixed, usually containing way too much ice. These issues can be overlooked in the summer, as the lively atmosphere created by the gays significantly enhances the overall experience, though the drinks and customer service remain subpar.

Diego's you have to do better! Get rid of those ridiculous entry fees on holiday weekends upwards of $30-$40 bucks! That's why everyone goes to Aqua instead!

Good crowd fun time live music Pamela Stanley (70's singer) doing a great job on a variety of hit songs & some of her own...at 73 she was Excellent long sets of good tunes. The crowd seemed to be into the music, good drinks good times. There is a food truck there, but, I did not check it out.

Great experience here excellent outdoor area. Excellent bar service. Parking is an issue however what are you going to do, it's Beach at summer. Hey do you have a small parking area out front but get there early if you want to claim a space. The place has been recently remodeled and everything is clean and shiny. Thank you owner for the smoking lounge need I remind every non-smoker that smoking is not illegal and you are not a more virtuous person for not being a smoker. Moreover I'd rather be a smoker than chomping down on fast foods, processed foods fried foods sugar coated, breakfast cereals and sodas, process pizzas and hot dogs and becoming morbidly obese. Perhaps we should start vilifying obese people and morbid people. I digress...., however Diego's is awesome that's all I can say, I'll be back day after day.

I’ve been to plenty of beach bars and know you expect to pay a little extra in a vacation town, but what happened at Diego’s this weekend was unacceptable. While my friends and I were there, the staff raised cover price from 30 dollars to $45 over 30 mins. That’s not just expensive, that’s price gouging. In queer establishment, that’s supposed to be a “safe space “ for its community, it’s pretty laughable. We felt taken advantage of, and it completely soured the night. A place that changes its prices mid-line without transparency shows no respect for its customers.

We were asked to order another drink or leave the place around 10:00pm on Sunday night, Aug 31 (Labor Day weekend). There were like 6 more customers there. Chasing customers away is their business model. It seems they didn’t like fact that we got in before 9:00pm (when they start charging a $25 cover). Yes, we were not ready to order alcohol. Specifically, calling out the big black bartender who kicked us out (our group was multiethnic as well). I will tell all my DC friends and Instagram followers not to patronize Diego’s bar (unless the owners crawl on their knees, apologize, and fire the staff). To owners: do you know not realize a bad word spreads out quickly in the community on social media…
