The spot is great for parties, our guests had a good time. But for months leading up to the day of our event we were quite stressed dealing with the staff. The owner Josh is cool at first to get your business but once you start asking him questions he easily gets frustrated and acts like an unprofessional 10 year. This guy only cares about your money. His communication was ultra confusing to the point we tried hard to find a different venue last minute because of how unorganized and unprofessional he was. old. I was tempted to upload snapshots of our convos here but I’ll take the high road. His new manger Riley is great to deal with and it would have been total hell if it wasn’t for her. Oh and Josh will show up unannounced at the end of your party with his whole family to eat your food and act like it’s part of his program. So weird… Josh to seems to have canned responses for his bad reviews so I won’t be surprised if he attempts one here. We definitely would never book an event here again and I highly recommend you have a hard communication and setup plan with this group before giving them your money.

Travelers here with my family for work conference. Resort was perfect for kids to play while I worked & joined colleagues in event spaces. Our company hosted an overnight retreat and were able to collaborate and have a great stay near downtown.

Up until the day of the event, communication was excellent. Josh was responsive, answered questions, and made the planning process easy. Unfortunately, the experience on the day of the event was disappointing. The photos on the listing appear to be taken with a wide-angle lens, making the venue look significantly larger than it actually is. When we arrived, we found old food left inside the refrigerator, and it wasn't plugged in. We had to throw the food away ourselves before loading our drinks and food into it. Because the refrigerator had been unplugged, it took hours to cool down, causing our ice to melt and water to collect in the ice drawer. I later mentioned this to Josh, and instead of acknowledging the issue, he suggested we should have moved the ice to a cooler. If the refrigerator is included as an amenity, it should be clean, plugged in, and ready to use when guests arrive. We also paid extra for the photo booth. I had specifically asked the staff to place it in a certain location, but it was set up somewhere else. In addition, the listing showed what appeared to be an enclosed inflatable photo booth, but what was provided was simply a TV and camera on a stand. More importantly, it never worked during our event despite multiple attempts. One thing I found confusing was Josh's response after the event. I specifically told him that the speaker was not an issue because I had brought my own. Despite that, he spent part of his response explaining why the music situation was my responsibility, even though I had never complained about it. Rather than addressing the concerns I actually raised, several of my comments were dismissed or explained away. Overall, while the planning process was good, the condition of the venue and the handling of the issues afterward left us disappointed. I hope these concerns are addressed so future guests have a better experience.

Great location for a large group to all have beds and a shared space, and an easy Uber away from all the main attractions in San Diego. Would definitely recommend it to others!

Finding the back alley to the gates upon arrival was a little tricky. But we figured it out. Also, finding which houses we rented was also a little difficult. It was good that the cleaning lady was there though or we would have been really confused! Upon arrival, each house was very clean and very welcoming. The amenities were perfect for our large group of mainly teenagers. We had plenty of space to eat and hang out together. A huge plus was the location. Its close to a Costco and even closer to the freeway! All in all this was a positive experience! The only suggestion would be an inventory of kitchen supplies like whether or not a kitchen had pots/pans or a crockpot, etc. Will definitely recommend this to family or friends who visit the area. Thanks for a great stay!
