Good Life Vacation Rental Resort & Event Spaces

Stayed here two years in a row for Twitchcon with a group of 24 for 2024 and 35 for 2025 and it’s always a great time. The beds are comfy the outside areas are spacious and fun and the owner is always easy to get a hold of if not the on sight manager. Any concerns I’ve had always got addressed like needing more towels or toilet paper. This is the perfect spot for a big group gathering as long as you are okay with other people staying on the property and possible other events going on. The event space was perfect for our girls craft day, our live streamed game show and even a bunch of nerdy card game sessions

We hosted our Company Holiday party at their property in the beach boardwalk and event tent spaces. It was a large space with games, seating, bbqs, heat lamps, and coolers. We were even able to use the TV to stream the football game. Josh the owner, was amazing, responsive, and very helpful throughout this entire experience. We would highly recommend using this space for events and we will absolutely be back to host more events here in the future. The space is unique, fun, and very affordable.

This review I should have written 2 years ago, but here we are! In October of 2023, we rented the entire 10-house compound for our wedding in San Diego. What initially caught my attention was the large family-style table in the rental, which was originally a church. Once we went on a tour, we decided we needed to have the entire compound to execute our wedding venue vision. This was a massive task to take on, as it was not set up to be a wedding venue; however, we managed to pull it off with the help of the staff and the owners. Looking back, having the whole family in one place, sharing rooms, bunk beds, the kids that got to run freely around, and the seclusion was everything and more. Thank you for all your help! Here are some photos for reference. I would do this again with this company, again and again if I could.

We stayed at Good Life Resorts in San Diego again this year for a convention after having a wonderful experience last year with Lorreto as our host. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite due to our host, Jeff. Jeff repeatedly inserted himself into our conversations, taking up hours of our vacation time talking about unrelated topics. He was also very condescending when enforcing rules—often seeming to invent new ones daily. Nearly everything we did seemed to be an issue with him. To make matters worse, whenever we had an actual problem with the house, Jeff was nowhere to be found. He even ignored requests for basic things like toiletries. One time he gave someone 1 roll of toilet paper for a house that had 3 bathroom that were all out. He even shut a door in one of the girls face when he was asked for something. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially after knowing how great the experience can be when managed properly. The Internet was also an issue. The venue bosts high speed Internet but it was dismal at best. Our tv in the house couldn't even connect causing us to us our phones as hotspots anytime we needed to use the Internet. I truly hope Good Life Resorts addresses this, because the property itself is great—but the hosting makes all the difference. I will not return if Jeff is there next year. Lorreto was the perfect host, quickly addressing all our needs and never being seen otherwise. Lorreto was also kind and accommodating with all the events we had planned. #bringbacklorreto

From start to finish, this stay was beyond what we imagined, it truly felt like a home away from home. 🏝 The Location
The location is unbeatable. There’s a convenience store literally steps away, which made grabbing quick essentials so easy. Costco and other shops are only a few minutes’ drive, so stocking up on groceries was a breeze. It’s tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful, but close enough to everything we needed. 🏡 The Space
We stayed in the bungalow, and it was absolutely perfect for our group of six. Spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and everything you’d need to whip up meals. Honestly, we didn’t eat out much because it was so convenient (and fun!) to cook together here. On our first night, we fired up the BBQ on the patio and enjoyed a relaxing evening just like we would at home. ❄️ Comfort & Amenities
The little details made all the difference. The air conditioning kept the house cool, and with fans in each bedroom, everyone slept comfortably. The beds were cozy with soft pillows and extra blankets provided. Having two bathrooms for six people made getting ready so easy. Even parking was stress-free, plenty of spots right in front, no matter what time we came back. 💫 Hospitality That Stands Out
What really sets this place apart is the hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the manager (Jeff, so welcoming and down-to-earth). Later, we met the owner, Josh, who went above and beyond. He was always quick to respond to our questions, checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and genuinely cared about our experience. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it made our stay extra special. ❤️ The Experience
This property gave us everything we were looking for, comfort, convenience, and a place where we could truly relax and enjoy time together. When it came time to check out, none of us wanted to leave. That’s how you know it’s a good spot! We’re already talking about when we’ll be back. If you’re hesitating, don’t. Book this place now. You’ll love it just as much as we did.

Best accommodation in San Diego area!

We were meant to find this hidden gem. The Bamboo Garden was just the perfect spot to do have our intimate wedding reception. Jeff was a great tour guide. The host Josh was great at communicating, very accommodating, kind and patient with us. We didnt feel like we were in San Diego. It was just beautiful. We will definitely come back to this resort. Thank you for everything and for making our day extra special.

Josh’s team built what can only be described as a portal into a sanctuary staycation resort just east of downtown san diego. We put on a music event there over Valentines day this past february and it was a stellar experience for all. The staff was very accomodating to our needs and were able to open up some of the spaces for music to be played and people to dance. The property is hidden from view by high fencing and retaining walls for maximum privacy. Each bungalow is tastefully designed to fit a unique theme that transports you to a different world. The monastery and sanctuary are the largest bungalows that can be used for small entertainment gatherings such as super bowl watch parties or easter sunday dinner parties. Navigating the property could only be described as an adventure where every twist and turn leads to a new discovery. The sand bar gives tulum vibes and the hidden lounges only add to the mysterious wonder of the property. If you are looking for a getaway without the stress of leaving the country, this place is a bargain for your money.
