The Flamingo Motel

If you are in the mood for an old school Motel experience, this is the place. I was initially attracted to the retro design and architecture of the building. Neon, slightly gaudy colors, and a cool sign intrigued me. The room doors are Flamingo pink and accented with blue neon. A huge plus for me was that this was clearly a locally owned, non-chain operation, and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. There seemed to be just enough parking, a bit tight but doable for sure. The front desk staff was helpful, not overly friendly, but efficient. I didn’t expect the most modern and up to date interior, and I wasn’t disappointed. Everything is dated, but as I said, I expected that. The room was clean, well made up, and stocked with coffee, soap, shampoo, and even an iron and full sized ironing board. The bed was comfortable, but could have used a fourth pillow. The pillows were a bit flat and all of the same type. The only issue I had was that my room faced The Alameda, and there was some street noise, but I always sleep with earplugs and that took care of it. I would suggest that if you are sound sensitive, request a reset or interior room. Would I stay here again? For sure, it is like stepping back to the 50’s and the heyday of motels.

It was a perfect location to access stores, restaurants, freeways and such. Good bookstore nearby. Also friendly staff that cares, room was big with two beds and bathrooms were spacious. We also appreciated the refrigerator although it lacked a freezer, had a microwave,dryer close parking and although close to the street was relatively quiet on the front side enjoyable stay.

I never got to stay. These people are theifs. Before booking I asked was there availability. I made the reservation then he said no availability. And that also I book the wrong date by accident. I couldn’t change it to correct day the current date cuz no availability after he already said it was. But then switched up moments later. Then they denied my refund and made it look like I was a no show because I accidentally book the wrong date 140$ took. My booking would have never been made from start if there was no availability. I recommend cash and no prepay here it’s a risk.

100/10!!! Customer service is phenomenal, rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. Definitely NOT what you think of when you think of “motel.” We will never sty anywhere else when we come to San Jose Sharks game. Easy walk to great food, bars, and the SAP Center. You won’t regret staying here.

Staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. Great location for food/events. Very clean room. Comfortable and had a little fridge. Will definitely stay here again next time I travel out there

The location is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. At this price you’re not staying at the W. But if you need a clean, convenient place to sleep, the Flamingo is the spot.

Cute cheap little hotel! Cute decor and easy check in. Good if you’re seeing a show at the sap center. Short walk to the venue.

The Room was offered with 2 bed for $140.00 but there were only one bed When I checkout at 10:30am not body was at front desk so I couldn't tell the desk person Room 208.

We stayed at The Flamingo Motel before the Metallica concert, and for the price, it’s a solid spot. The location is great — right on a corner with everything you need nearby. They offer parking too, which was super convenient. The room felt a bit stuffy at first, but after airing it out for 20 minutes, the A/C worked well. Overall, if you’re okay with some bold Indian-style patterns on the wallpaper, bedspreads, and decor, this is a fun and budget-friendly place to crash!
