Comfort Suites Sanford

This was the worse experience I have had. I don't usually post negative reviews. I stayed there on 4-10-26 and 4-11-26. OMG The elevator was broken both days. on the first day we were able to use it at least. On Saturday evening after a long day, when I arrived at the hotel the elevator was completely broken and everyone had to walk up the stairs. I felt horrible for the 95 year woman and everyone with health issues. This was my graduation weekend and the coordinator from the school recommended this hotel. On Sunday I reached out to them about the Comfort Suites in Sanford. Take them off of the list. The Toilet was broken and ran all day and night. The were unable to fix omg. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The outlet in the room didn't work the employee that needed a seat to fix it was able to fix one of the outlets. Do Not waste your time on the burnt breakfast. The staff is friendly but that is it. I do Not recommend this hotel.

We are extremely disappointed with our stay and are requesting a refund that's if we can even get a manager to call us back?? Our family reserved this hotel for Friday and Saturday. We ended up checking in Saturday around 2 PM. The front desk staff was friendly, but that’s about the only positive part of this experience. The elevator was not working, so we had to carry our belongings up four flights of stairs with a 3-year-old. When we finally got to the room, the toilet was not working. We were in town for a wedding, so we informed the front desk and were told it would be fixed while we were gone. We returned around midnight with a sleeping child, only to be told at the front desk that our room was being changed because the toilet still wasn’t working. There was no call or heads-up before we got back. We then had to carry our sleeping child up four flights of stairs again and move all of our belongings to a new room in the middle of the night. Completely unacceptable. On top of that, there was a billing issue. Our sister-in-law originally reserved the room, but when we arrived, we were told we had to put our card down and pay at check-in. The hotel ended up charging both her card and ours. When we tried to address this at checkout, we were brushed off and told to “take a card that's what the cards are for and call the manager.” The front desk didn’t even attempt to resolve the issue or listen to our concerns. When we called the next morning, no one could even tell us when a manager would be available. Between the broken elevator, the unusable room, the late-night room switch with a child, and the double charge with no resolution, this stay was beyond frustrating. We expect a refund for this experience. I would not recommend staying here try the Holiday Inn up the road!

Tried to check in at 8 PM. There was no one at the front desk for over 30 minutes. The restroom in the lobby was not working no paper towels We noticed several shady characters wreaking of marijuana running in and out as we waited for the hotel front desk lady to show up our room smelled like smoke. The toilet in the room didn’t wanna flush. The elevator wasn’t working. It was the worst hotel experience ever do not recommend this hotel.

The Good: Host were amazing , very helpful and all deserve a raise. The bad: elevator was broken my entire stay ( not tripping) Shower head was amazingly filthy, toilet handle was broken, table in room was broken and leaning when I arrived, when I pressed the button on the AC the entire front cover fell off ( all clips were broken , house keeping sat it back the next day so I just didn’t touch it so it wouldn’t fall off again , no smart tv’s , entire shower was outdated , rusted. Don’t think I’ll ever beating here again, and it used to be nice :(

Nice and clean, very helpful staff. Great location

Staff was nice. Good price. Bed was comfortable, and lots of space. Staff was also accommodating for a request for an extra blanket (though instead of bringing it to the room asked us to come down and get it lol). However, we saw a bug in our room. The shower/tub looked severely outdated with chipped paint and just didn’t fully look clean. Also after staying there I ended up with ringworm. I’ve never had it in my life, and haven’t been in any contact with stray/unvaxed pets or animals or been in a locker room or unclean bathroom that I can think of. Not saying I got it there, as you can’t trace where you get it from. But odds are looking like that’s where I got it. Staff, please bleach bomb the bathrooms especially in room 222. Lol.

The only issues we had were, not all USB ports worked and the hair dryer wouldn't go on high at all. And, the indoor pool wasn't working.

Ms. Nikki at the front desk is the sweetest woman I've ever met! Very accommodating and willing to find a solution no matter what the problem! She definitely made this experience so wonderful!
