Shore Hotel

I visited during the last week of March. The location was excellent for enjoying the area around Santa Monica Beach, so I was satisfied just being able to go for a sunrise run there. After finishing my schedule, I was able to have dinner while watching Jazz Night. Ah... on the day of check-in, I paid for an extra ocean view because it wasn't expensive, lol. Apparently, it turned out to be a rooftop view where the ocean was just slightly visible in the background... Room 422's view. It felt a bit like a factory, lol. If that's the case, they should have just said there wasn't one. They say you get what you pay for, but I'll just laugh it off.

I stayed here for 4 nights and wouldn’t again. When I arrived my mini fridge was broken; and the replacement they brought wasn’t working bc the plug was broken in the room, so I spent over an hour dealing with this upon arrival. Then I found out my nespresso machine also wasn’t working. No apologies from management. Also, whenever I asked for refills of tea and coffee, etc, it would take them over an hour to deliver it. Finally, they accidentally kept my ID after I checked in rather than returning it to me and I almost left it there, which would have interfered with my flight. I do not feel that this hotel is well run or worth it for the price.

Stephanie was absolutely amazing! She provided excellent food recommendations and was so friendly and welcoming. It’s rare to come across service that truly stands out, and Stephanie made our experience that much better. With service like hers, I will definitely be back. Thank you, Stephanie, for being such a sweetheart!

We stayed here at the end of a long trip through CA and were so pleased. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. We were very tired and able to check in early. The property is clean and modern (still some renovations going I think). Our room had a great view and was very quiet despite being on Ocean Drive. Windows are noise dampening I think. Happier than we've been in a long while with a hotel. Thanks!

We chose this hotel based on its excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our rooms were located directly above an area that was under renovation, so from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we had to endure the noise and banging from the construction work. The rooms were nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the opportunity to relax in the jacuzzi, and the pool water was pleasantly warm rather than too cold. Despite the inconvenience caused by the renovation, we enjoyed our stay overall.

Everything about the hotel is amazing! Good rooms, great views, unbeatable access to the beach and pier. All of that aside, the most memorable part of our stay was the concierge. Adriano is a one man army whose sole mission is to ensure your stay is perfect. He went above and beyond every time we saw him and was such a friendly, good hearted man that made us feel very welcome, safe, and taken care of our entire stay. Whenever I come back to Santa Monica I’ll be staying here because of him!

Excellent location and rooms. They're unclear with what 'ocean view' or 'partial ocean view' means, and tried to sell me a partial ocean view for an ocean view. They also added andom minibar expenses on the last day of my stay. They'were very unusual about this at checkout. Usually they just ask if I took anything from the minibar, but it's really for the last day since for every other day they already know via room service. This time they didn't ask, they said 'we're unblocking the deposit after checking the minibar'. I mentioned I didn't use it. The said they'll check. Then charged me anyways, which I disputed. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful. At least the view and the rooms were good.
