Ocean Lodge Santa Monica Beach Hotel

GREAT location especially for the price. Alex the reception guy was very nice. Housekeepers, Martha and Isabel were amazing, maintained the room very well. Room was decent size.

Perfect close to the pier close to restaurant dining

The location is excellent, about a 10-minute walk from the pier, Starbucks, and the Apple Store. The hotel is clean and has the basics: towels, shampoo, conditioner, and a vanity. The rooms are rather small; there's barely enough room to open the door without it hitting the bed. The view from the hotel is also very good.

Where the hell is Billy? He is supposed to still be living here, and was told he can take my case.

Location is great. Minutes walk away from Santa Monica pier and 3rd st promenade. The property is dated but decently maintained. Having 2 rooms is nice, but only one a/c unit leaves the other room not temperature controlled. Not the fault of the property, but there are homeless people around the property—some of them sleep just 15 feet away from your room so you can hear them cough. Attempts to call the property go unanswered and their email is full, although when you do talk to them they are friendly. Our party had a change in plans so tried to shorten our stay by 1 day but we were told we missed our chance because the property manager wasn’t there when we attempted to request the change.

Ideally located if you want to be close to the ocean and the Santa Monica Pier. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. No additional services such as laundry or parking. The price is relatively high for the property. We are clearly paying for the location...

A very good hotel, close to the pier, clean, and with very friendly staff.

The hotel's location is perfect. If you want to spend the evening or explore the Santa Monica Pier area, it's barely a five-minute walk. The hotel is perfectly adequate. We stayed three people in a room for one night, and the amenities were sufficient. It's not luxurious, but we had everything we needed, even if my husband doesn't understand the point 😅. The separate room next to the bathroom allows several adults to have a space to get ready without blocking the bathroom. The reception staff were friendly. Parking is available for reservation but is not free, which is a shame considering the price of the rooms.

An older quaint hotel, but looks like the rooms have been remodeled. Office personnel has been great. Limited parking is tight and not free, but less than other hotels in the area.

Great little boutique hotel on the beach. It is noisy because it is right on a main street. Room was clean and well taken care of. Parking is tight if you have a large vehicle.
