ANTS ANTS ANTS Been saving this review until I got my $200 deposit back (the first red flag) because the host (Vince) genuinely seems like the type to make something up just to get some of that deposit back as a retaliation against a bad review. Anyway, I made the mistake and booked this stay prior to reading the google reviews. You can take the time to read the others as I won't get into the other people's bad experiences. Similar to others, I was under the assumption the entire space would be mine. This is entirely wrong and you only get a room to yourself. You can hear literally everything and I was kept all night from the noise of the other people walking around, laundry running, and the shower noise...My god. Even once the shower is done, you can hear the constant dripping. The other residents will make or break your stay. Worst of all, I came into the room the first night and immediately noticed there were ants everywhere. They were crawling all across every inch of the baseboards. I immediately notified Vince and informed him I'd like a refund so I could book a stay elsewhere. Mind you, a giant pile of ants was under the baseboard of the bed so the cleaner was obviously aware of the ant infestation. His response? Telling me he would notify the cleaner then telling me there was ant spray under the bathroom sink (there wasn't btw, but either way, I wouldn't have wanted to go to sleep right after spraying). I kept pushing that I would vastly prefer a refund so I could book a stay elsewhere as no solution would be immediate for ants if you've ever dealt with an ant infestation. Spraying is only temporary. It also made me question the cleanliness of the bed (i.e. bed bugs). No matter what I said, the $300-400 of profit was just really important to Vince I guess. Vince probably makes well over six figures and can't be a decent human being. I put up for it for the night and Vince told me the cleaner would be coming the next day. They never came. I stayed 6 days and 5 nights, and she never did a follow up as the ants were always there. I guess the one positive is they were much more quieter than the other residents on this property (Room #1 at the Harry Potter suites). If you still decide to stay, one tip I can give you is try to leave/arrive at the Taylor Ave/Galer St bus stop. It's just a short walk to the property. Yes, going to Aurora Ave/Galer St bus stop is quicker and will be recommended on Google maps, but you have to climb a huge flight of steps. Also, it is EXTREMELY sketchy and dangerous during the night time. Trust me - do it once and you'll understand. The one positive is the neighborhood seems like it's mostly college residents so it doesn't feel as dangerous as it probably should be.

Scam warning: The room is small but sufficient if you only need a place to sleep, and the location is great. However, there are some issues. There is no cleaning service I stayed for two weeks and the room was never cleaned. Additionally, they kept $20 from my deposit claiming the remote control was missing. I did not take the remote control — why would I? This feels like a dishonest practice to charge extra fees. I noticed other guests have reported similar experiences, so be careful.

Read the listing carefully — this is a private bedroom with a SHARED kitchen and living room. There are seven private rooms in the “house.” If the price seems too good to be true, that’s why! Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything going on in all four floors of the house. Oh yeah, enjoy the three staircases. Walls in shared spaces have lots of dents and scrapes. Floors were dirty. There were bags of trash on the floor of the shared kitchen every day. Kitchen has reasonable amenities in terms of cookware and plates, etc. But bring your own spoons because there was only one in the kitchen, and bring some labels if you wanna put food in the shared fridge. My individual room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower got nicely hot.

Great location with easy access to downtown bus. easy to get around to all the sights of Seattle. The bathroom was clean and modern and we had a comfortable stay

Additional fees are hidden and he requires you to go to his website outside of where you booked. Super sketchy, I do not recommend.

Pleasant stay, a dream location

They don’t tell you how to check in. And they charged me for $35 for a stained white towel and provided no evidence of my stained towel. Everything in there is white. And it’s not Harry Potter themed just because it has a few things on the walls. It’s extortion

Really nice and comfy, with ensuite bathroom and heated tiles. Cleaners came every day, kitchen for use. I stayed 1 month. The only improvement I'd make is, put up "quiet" signs on each floor as some guests staying a night or 2 can be noisy. If fob stops working, there should be an easier and quicker way to contact host and vice versa, esp if most guests won't have an American mobile. Aside from that, v cosy stay!

When we went there they didn’t let us go in until we begging for 1 hour. The she is telling to give 1 chaklatte then after she ate chaklatte she told to give 200 dollars.The when we went in a lion was roaring on the couch.

I booked three nights and had to pay extras that were hidden upon arrival. When I had to leave after one night's stay upon their request, the hotel did not return any of the three nights' payment. The place intentionally spread viruses.

DO NOT GO HERE! We booked this place for 3 nights while waiting to board a cruise. The advertisement is highly deceiving and information is left out. First, there is no parking near the building. We drove at least a 4 block radius and there was nothing available. There is no driveway and the place sits behind another large house where you cannot even see it. We were given a passcode to enter the place and to access our room. Needless to say, we did not even make it to the room. Walked in the front door and up about 20 steps to the community area. There was someone sleeping on the community couch, food and trash everywhere. Immediately we turned around, got in our car and left to find something that is acceptable to stay in, which ended up being another 40 min drive closer to the airport. After contacting Expedia about the issues, they contacted the property. The property was unrealistic about canceling the reservation and refused to do so. Refused any sort of refund even though the place was falsely advertised. Contacted the property ourselves regarding the $200 security deposit being released and was rudely told to call my bank and was hung up. I surely hope that this review is read before anyone books with this place. I would hate to see anyone else have to go through the troubles we are with them.

BEWARE!!! Absolute waste of money!!! Where to start?? Parking is an no go unless u circle like a vulture waiting for someone to move off the street, yes street parking only and unless u want to park about 15-20 mins away and hike yourself and baggage up steep hills run away now! Walking in u go up a staircase covered in dirt and dust and possibly food that’s came from the kitchen right off the staircase like I did, corn nuts to be exact, next u enter a community kitchen, messy(could be from other guest but still!!) only to find someone sleeping on the couch!! Didn’t even make it to the room because I already knew there’s no way in hell I’m staying in a place this dirty right off the bat. This place has a zero cancellation policy so if u plan months in advance like we did and something comes up u are SOL. There are way better options and accommodations at other places in and around Seattle. Their 2.4/10 rating on google should say it all. Expedia had them ranked higher as to why we booked with them.
