About this place Center for Sex Positive Culture

The Center for Sex Positive Culture is a Seattle non-profit community space on 15th Avenue West in Interbay, between Queen Anne and Magnolia. It runs workshops, social events and members-only play parties for adults across all orientations, and keeps a lending library on sexuality and sexual health that has been reported at around 15,000 items. It is not a gay venue as such, though queer and kink communities use it heavily. Most events require membership and ID, and the house rules on consent are strict, so read them on the website before your first visit. Event schedules change week to week.

I've only had negative to neutral experiences. The neutral experiences were all when things were pre-planned with others. I've had people attempt to police play here, like having had others claim I didn't consent to things somebody was doing to me (I did consent), and overall just ignore me saying I did consent because of their opinions or issues with what is being done with or to me. Idk, I'd rather just make plans in private than play in a "public" space where you get interrupted by people who should be minding their own business 🤷‍♀️
