Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center

Location was great to stay close to the battlefields. However, the place smells like stale smoke, the bed skirt was filthy, the rooms were hard to find, and the stairways smell like mold. Would not recommend for a family.

My boyfriend and I attended the Canine Camp Getaway this past week and stayed four nights at the hotel. I understand that accommodating an event with 150+ dogs can be challenging; however, the condition of the hotel was unacceptable. The entire building had a strong, moldy odor that seemed to be masked with air fresheners placed throughout the hallways. Our room had numerous stains, and the carpet looked as though it hadn’t been properly cleaned in years. The sheets were so stained that we ended up purchasing our own bedding for the duration of our stay. The bathroom was especially concerning, with visible mold, falling ceiling tiles, and what appeared to be attempts to cover mold with white spray paint. Overall, it was one of the least clean hotel environments I’ve ever experienced. Additionally, we are not particularly picky eaters, but we were extremely disappointed with the food. Several cooked items, including the chicken and ribs, had an unusual taste and left both of us feeling unwell. After trying two meals, we chose to eat in town for the remainder of the event. While we enjoyed the camp, we don't have an interest in returning to this hotel.

The hotel is clean, we did not expect to have a balcony facing their indoor pool. That was disappointing we were expecting to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the trees and birds not people swimming and sweating because it was so humid from the heated pool. We won't be staying there anytime soon

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting Gettysburg. The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great. One thing we really like is the rural location where we can walk around and enjoy the countryside. It's a great value and a great choice for visiting this part of Pennsylvania.

Stayed here over the May 29-31 weekend. The hotel itself is in a great location and the hotel itself seemed rather well kept. Upon arriving at the hotel on May 29th around 9pm, I was surprised to see dozens of kids roaming the hotel and grounds without adults. These kids were with a group called NEO (don’t know what this group is, but seemed to have about 200 kids aged 13-17). The kids ran the hotel that entire weekend. They roamed the lobby and elevators aimlessly, rarely saw any chaperones, and hotel staff provided no directions for them for where they should be. Especially aggravating was seeing a group of kids (roughly 50 or so) playing IN THE PARKING LOT around other guest’s cars. On Saturday, we went out to our vehicle and the kids were playing a volleyball game in a circle right next to my vehicle, that could have been scraped or damaged. Again, the groups chaperones and the hotel staff had seemingly nothing to say about this going on. I myself had to demand that this group of kids get away from my vehicle so that I could simply leave the parking lot. If you plan on staying here, it would be wise to call ahead and make sure that the hotel isn’t inundated with a group that may ruin your experience.

Good experience

The hotel is "fine", if somewhat worn and outdated. The beds are comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was decent, typical. However, we visited over Memorial Day weekend, and the hotel desk was completely unmanned the entire time, except on Saturday evening upon our arrival. At all other times, there was a note stating the front desk was "closed for the day," and instructed guests to call 0 to speak with someone at the neighboring hotel desk, or to walk all the way to the other hotel for assistance. There seemed to be only one person working the whole time we were there. Both of the in-house restaurants were only open for Saturday evening when we first arrived, seemingly ONLY for the youth soccer tournament that was going on. But then all day Sunday and Monday morning prior to our departure, both the Lounge (bar) and the Deli remained closed, despite having advertised breakfast, and/or open hours. Our room didn't have enough towel sets for the number of guests, and the pool didn't have ANY towels available both times we visited it (until having to track someone down to get them). If they had proper staffing, the experience would have easily been way better!

You will be an early riser whether you like it or not. The banging of pool noodles and screams of unattended children begain in the pool area at 8am!

Hotel is a little dated. Rooms were clean but bathrooms could use a work.
