Cape Colony Inn

We spent two lovely night at the Cape Colony Inn and certainly hope to return. The manager, Luis, was hospitable and truly went above and beyond for our stay. The rooms and amenities are really wonderful and an exceptional value; I hope it’s a secret that we can keep to ourselves!

Fantastic hotel. Very clean. Bed comfy. TV and wireless worked great. Huge bathroom. Very good continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Stayed in early May right before things get busy. This place is walking distance to downtown harbor and shopping ..under 1 mile. Don't miss stopping in the public library to see the Dorothy Rose schooner.

I had an amazing stay for work. I arrived much later than opening hours and they made sure we had everything we needed to check in ourselves. Perfect room & great location. Very appreciative for Cape Colony Inn

We had a great weekend here, it may be my new favorite hotel in town. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with updated decor. The staff is very friendly, and all the other guests seemed very happy. The fire pit is a nice feature, and the pool area, while not open for the season yet, was very nice. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Amazing value for such a cheap inn! Highly recommend! Stayed here for one night and it was very good! Great location on the cape and very close to Provincetown. Parking is free and convenient. If you book through their website, you get a free bag of sparkling water and snacks at check-in! So that was very unexpected. There were also provided pool towels upon entering our room. The lady at the desk was super friendly in answering questions and accommodating for our stay. The complementary breakfast is bare bones but sufficient. There's covered and uncovered seating outside. The double queen room was spacious and had a fridge and microwave. All the furniture was well maintained and seemed to be on the newer side. Although the knob on the cabinet to access the fridge was broken, so I had to pry the door open with my fingers and use something to hold it open. Both the fridge and microwave were clean. Was surprised at the cleanliness and apparent "newness" of the room. The comforter on the bed was actually good and had some thickness to it. Bathroom and towels were clean and the shower was really good. Even had a provided shower mat. Water heated up quickly. A/C unit is in the wall and can be controlled via remote. It was very quiet. There were even adjustable reading lights mounted above each bed which was a nice touch. Only real complaint is that there was a incredibly strong smell of something upon entering the room. Not sure what it was, but it quickly went away after a min or two.

My husband and I visited this place often. This past summer we had big issues. We arrived, checked it, brought our luggage into room. We went outside to wait for the shuttle to go downtown to get dinner. My husband mentioned I should’ve grabbed his sweater so I went back to our room to get one. I could not get into my room at all I went to the front desk and I told him the situation. The girl at the front desk came to the room with me and realize her keys didn’t work either. they called the maintenance and said it would be a couple hours before they could get . The front desk said that they would leave the keys in the dropbox if you want to go downtown and then we can get into a room when you get back. In the morning, I decided to go downstairs to get a coffee for hubby and me. That’s when the next issue came up. We cannot get out of our rooms. We were locked in a room all night long without realizing it. I think God there was no fire or any other emergency that we would have gotten out of the room because it we were stuck in it. We were on the second floor. I had to call the front desk and let them know we cannot get out of room. They had to call maintenance again to open our door. While they were working on door, I went to lobby for coffee. As I walked in, I heard employees say, did they really get locked in their room with a laugh. I was not laughing. Luis DeMello General Manager apologized. He ask if we wanted change rooms. Yes please. Room 23 is a nightmare. He also said he was comp our room for the night. I was happy with this. $347 a night. Well, bottom line is we were never comped. We got a total run around by management. They ignored my follow up emails, would come to phone, always busy. Such poor management, and poor excuse of customer service. Understand this. We had visited this Inn many times. I did have reservations for two rooms a month later which we canceled. I booked rooms at the Sandcastle Resort. These people are wonderful. Luis DeMello does not follow up on his word. Denise Page.

The Cape Colony Inn is THE ABSOLUTE BEST HOTEL IN P TOWN!!!!!!! This place is EXQUISITE FROM THE SPACIOUS ROOMS TO THE HUGE SWIMMING POOL!!!!! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS HOTEL!!!! IT'S CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TO EVERYTHING!!! The beds are AWESOME & YOU WOULD SLEEP LIKE A BABY!!!!!👶👶👶👶 I'M ALSO TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH PROVINCETOWN!!!!!! A beautiful place to live, the neighbors are quiet and friendly. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and has a police presence. I've lived here for over four years and highly recommend it! The staff is very attentive and willing to help with anything you need.

This place is one of the few places that offer a parking space. We chose this place because it offers free breakfast, microwave, and a full size fridge.

What you get is five star value for moderately priced hotel/motel in a very expensive holiday destination. The rooms are spacious. The amenities are more than sufficient. The staff is tremendous, cheery, and helpful. You're a short walk from downtown.
