Everything at this hotel is about getting more money. They even tried to charge me over $100 for a 1hour late checkout after I spent 1k there.

Love this place right on the water. Dog friendly and very accommodating. Clean rooms. Staff friendly. We love coming with our dog and hanging by the water.

Love this hotel! The bay out the back door and a pool out the front door. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Great place for dogs!

The hotel was too far from where a lot of the restaurants, bars, and shops were. Additionally, the breakfast situation was deplorable. Paying close to $2,000 for my entire stay and being served Eggo Waffles and Jimmy Dean microwaveable breakfast sandwiches (something I don’t even buy for myself nor have in my own home) as breakfast options is totally unacceptable. Lastly, while checking in the older white woman with blonde hair (who I assume was the manager on duty) was telling me directions on how to get to my room, I started slowly walking in the direction, she proceeds to say something about me “not following directions” loudly in the lobby. I’m almost 50 years old, to be spoken to in such a way was disgustingly unprofessional. I will never recommend that anyone that I know, stay there.,

Great stay and wonderful overall service! My husband and I booked our room way in advance since the Cape can book up a year in advance. We chose this hotel for the location, reviews, and amenities and booked a standard king room. A few weeks before our stay, I called to see about upgrading to a room with a view. I spoke with the GM and her daughter. They were very helpful and were able to upgrade us to one with a view of the beach for no charge! Upon arrival, we were able to park easily in the free guest lot. The young man and woman at the check-in desk were very friendly and helpful. Every employee we encountered, from housekeeping to maintenance were exceptionally kind and helpful. Our room (409) held a cute surprise with a fun theme! I won't give it away, but movie buffs will appreciate it. It is an older hotel but the rooms have been relatively well maintained. The bed was very comfortable for a hotel and the shower was great, except that the shower door was hard to close. We had a shared balcony, right on the beach! There were chairs and end tables on the shared balcony to allow us to sit out there and enjoy the view. We saw sunrises and sunsets from just a step out our door! We also enjoyed watching the tides come in so close to the building that it swallowed the beach below, then go way far out, allowing people to walk around and play with their dogs on land that was totally covered when the tide was in. It was so relaxing. Definitely better than just a place to crash! The amenities at this hotel are exceptional, especially for a "3 star" property. While we did not use the pool, it looked pristinely clean. There were people enjoying it the whole time we were there. There were plenty of loungers available, as well as tables with chairs. They also have a cool fire pit where we noticed people congregating on Saturday night to relax and chit chat with other travelers. We would have joined them if we were not so tired from walking around all day. And of course, the hotel is located on the water with its own private beach. There are plenty of loungers there as well. The location is fantastic. It's on Commercial Street, about a 15 minute walk to the heart of the action. You can take a cab or pedicab if you don't want to walk but the walk is so lovely, there's no reason to, unless you're really tired. The houses along the walk are beautiful, well maintained old buildings with lovely gardens. Looking at the flowers was an activity by itself. We went in early June, before the big crowds. It was pretty much the perfect time to be there. The weather was perfect and the beaches were close to empty. That said, the restaurants were still VERY busy. If you can, make reservations or try to eat at non-prime times. There are a ton of great restaurants in town. I recommend The Patio for people watching and The Squealing Pig Pub for a great meal with a dive bar vibe. And of course, the iconic Lobster Pot is a can't miss! P-town is one of our favorite places because of the natural, unspoiled beauty, the creative vibe, and the welcoming people. It attracts visitors from all over the world! It's a place where everyone is friendly and can be themselves. There are tons of beaches, great hikes, fun shopping, drag shows, comedy, live music, karaoke, and excellent food. You really can't go wrong! In summary, Surfside Hotel was an excellent experience! We want to thank the GM again (I'm so sorry I forgot her name) for her hospitality. We will absolutely stay here again when we return!
