Chiquita is hands-down the best bartender and one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. From the moment I sat down, she treated me like an old friend—warm, genuinely caring, and full of great energy. She has this incredible way of making you feel seen and welcomed. I walked in on a really bad day, but Chiquita completely turned it around. Even though laundry is not included at the hotel, she was so kind and was willing to do it for me! She made my frown upside down with her friendly conversation, perfect drink recommendations, and just pure positivity. She didn’t just serve drinks—she went above and beyond to help and lift my spirits. The Kelly Birmingham is already a fantastic hotel, but Chiquita is the reason I’ll always recommend it to my friends and family. If you’re staying here, make sure you stop by the bar and say hi to her—you won’t regret it. She’s a true gem and the highlight of my stay. Thank you, Chiquita! ❤️

Great place! Older property. It has lots character but not everything works all the time. It is close to downtown and good restaurants.

This goes out to Aquilla, Ja'Monica, Ms.Chi Chi and the best valet of times, Mr. Modd! Aquilla and Ja'Monica, you possess some of the best costumer service I've ever witnessed. Ms.Chi Chi, you should own up your own bartending school! And to my guy Modd, how you drive my vehicle better than me 😂? You guys should be inducted into the Hotel Hall of Fame. Thanks for a great stay!! You all are blessed and highly favored!! Until next time....

The staff was nice but the rooms were larger then average with extra large bathrooms. I have stayed at other Hilton properties in Bham but would pick this one again for a return visit.

We walked in & the atmosphere was so welcoming & very well decorated. The ladies at the front desk were so nice & helpful. We were taken up to our room and it was also nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was pretty hard, but thats just personal preference. The only, "gripes" I have would be that the outlet within the nightstand makes a soft chirping noise, and there's no way to unplug it. I am a light sleeper and this was right next to my head so it was frustrating; but i draped a hand towel over it & that muffled it enough to allow me some sleep. We were disappointed in the fact that there was no mini fridge in the room as we went out to eat and couldn't store our leftovers ☹️ eating out is expensive now so this was a big let down having our food go to waste. But not a huge stain on our stay by any means. Take note the hotel is by train tracks. Honestly not as loud as I thought it would be but it was still heard. I cannot say enough how wonderful and friendly the staff was. From the valet at the door, to the front desk ladies, to the room cleaners - everyone went out of their way to be extremely friendly. We went to leave our room for check out and one of the maids heard us coming and went ahead and hit the button on the elevator for us so it would be ready when we approached. Just a small gesture that leaves a great impression. When we left, the lady at the desk wished me a happy Mother's Day. I wish I would have gotten everyone's names that helped us, but if you own or run this hotel, please know your staff does an excellent job & they all deserve raises!
