AC Hotel Tuscaloosa Downtown

Kendrick made our stay AMAZING! He was accommodating, attentive, and creates the best cocktails that vibe with your pallet! Kendrick alone would be the reason we return to this hotel!! His energy is infectious! And he honestly goes out of his way to make sure your experience is top tier!

I have stayed here quite a few times for art shows/festivals in the area and am never disappointed. The staff has always been the best, very attentive, welcoming and very kind. This hotel fits being close to the venues where I attend so it works perfectly for my needs.

Jay in Tuscaloosa Al was so polite! I needed a printed receipt and he so graciously did that. Was greeted promptly at check in.

Kendrick on the 5th floor rooftop is a top notch guy. Makes you feel right at home. Even if you are from the other side of the country. Kizzy at the front desk is a sweetheart and can answer any questions you have about the area. All and all this is a great place to stay.

We arrived at 11:45p ish and there was no one at the front desk and the doors were locked. Every employee I spoke to made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The WiFi wasn’t set up properly to use high speed - which I needed to work. I had to just use as a guest. The HBO max on the tv wasn’t working. We went to the roof for dinner and ordered the nachos. See the photo to see what we actually got. The bartender was amazing. Highlight of our time here. Our room looked thrown together. My white socks turned brown walking around the room. A very uncomfortable stay.

I stayed here last week for to visit my daughter. I had a wonderful stay. The new management truly turned the hotel around. Everyone was warm and friendly especially Andy the new GM and Tiffany at the front desk. My room was clean and quiet almost as if they had just renovated it. The roof top bar was delightful and it was walking distance to my favorite restaurants, the river front amphitheater, and the university.

Thanks to Kendrick from the Rooftop Bar a looong day ended nicely! Great service from a kind person with a beautiful smile. Stop by and visit him when you're on the area!

Stayed here all weekend for our 6th grade basketball state tournament. Facility was clean but staff was not very friendly. No clean wash cloths to be found ☹️ I asked for clean wash cloths and towels because we opted not to have our room cleaned and serviced while we were there and of course the 2nd night we needed clean towels and wash cloths. This was 7:00 PM and the lady at the desk said it would be 45 minutes to and hour before we could get any. We never got them . Also, the lady at the desk wasn’t kid friendly at all. Probably will stay in another hotel next visit. Very Disappointing. I am a Marriott member and my husband and I travel a lot since retirement. I do realize this is not the normal for Marriott so I felt I should write a review to help other families.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Comfy and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. It has an amazing rooftop bar and a massive gym. Should be a go to hotel when visiting Tuscaloosa. -

This hotel overbooked and we did not have a room. We called 3 days before to confirm our reservation because we booked it months ago, and they said we were confirmed. When we arrived, they said they are overbooked and put us in a hotel across the street that wasn’t nearly as nice as the one we were supposed to stay in. The staff was not even a little bit apologetic about it. And when we called Marriott on the phone, the lady was extremely rude. I’ve been a Marriott member for decades, but I’m rethinking.

My stay last week exceeded expectations, the hotel feels updated since I was last there, the new management has done a great job. Property is spotless and the rooms are exceptionally clean and quiet, a great updated rooftop lounge, and a new menu for breakfast with great service. Easy walking access to the University along with nearby bars and restaurants in a downtown with difficult parking makes it easy to come back soon.

Had a fantastic stay at the AC Tuscaloosa. I used to stay at the Indigo, but new GM is awesome, the spotless and quiet rooms, an amazing rooftop beer selection. easy walking access to the University, bars, and restaurants. I'l be back here again.

Clean, quiet, breakfast was great and the bartender at the rooftop bar overlooking downtown was the best (Jonathan). The new GM had done a great job improving the property.
