Lambda Squares is a dedicated square dance club for the LGBTQ+ community, a distinctive spot in Washington DC's entertainment scene.

You'll find it downtown at 1700 H Street Northwest. It’s an alternative to typical nightlife, mixing dance instruction with social dancing in a genuinely inclusive environment.

Square dancing’s a classic American form, and Lambda Squares makes it welcoming for LGBTQ+ visitors and locals. They teach you how to do it, so it's a good place if you've never tried it, or if you want to brush up on your calls. You can show up alone or with a partner and meet people who like to dance and build community.

The atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. After the lessons, you can practice what you've learned and just dance. It’s a place that puts community first, a different kind of night out than you'll likely find elsewhere in DC.
