Four Points by Sheraton Boston Newton

A difficult trying to get into. Even though the price is probably good for Boston, doesn't feel like a good value. Staff was good and friendly. Rooms on the smaller side.

I like fancy new hotels as much as the next guy, but my recent stays at @Marriott many new concepts has left me wishing to go back in time to when you had carpet around the bed, actual wood floor, a comfortable chair!, a functional desk, an easy to use A/C unit, sound proofed windows, darkening shades, pull up shades that, well, work. This @FourPoints by Sheraton in Newton (a short Uber/Lyft to Boston) has all that. Add a super friendly staff, and they are.calling me back - not just in time, but to stay here anytime I'm in Boston! Oh, did I mention a superior restaurant on property with a nice selection of craft beers and good wines? That is AFFORDABLE?

Staff members were disrespectful and rude. Check in process took over 2 hours due to incompetence on front desk member. Then they gave me a key to a room that was already occupied.

Big tip for this hotel is to park on the street. The hotel has parking but of course it is pricey. There are parking meters on Washington street and parking at night is free! The hourly rate for the meters is $1.50 per hour. If you are going to be out driving most of the day, the meters are the way to go. Especially with the free parking at night. They use an app called PassportParking. The hotel is over the highway. So there is some noise from that. The rooms are fairly small. Free coffee in the lobby!! Overall this hotel has good value for trips into Boston or visits to area Universities. Boston traffic though... ugh!

Couldn't get door to room open took 5 swipes and a shoulder to get it open then it wouldn't shut because dead bolt would not retract but they sent someone up and fixed it but was still sticking after fis and would not lock after that .Otherwise hotel is ok

The hotel is in a good location. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Parking is an extra charge. The pool is very nice.

Really quite an unpleasant stay. This place feels more like an $80/night basic hotel rather than the absurd prices they charge. I knew there was going to be street noise from the room, so I was prepared for that. From floor 4 (where they put me), you can hear cars passing 100% of the time — they do put a noise machine in the room which is thoughtful of them. I honestly didn’t mind the street noise, but I think it could drive some others crazy. However, the AC was super noisy, as you can see in the video. I didn’t have any issues in my room with cleanliness or bad water pressure/temperature like others have pointed out, but the walls are so thin, so you can hear the other rooms and people going in and out all night. One really gross experience I had was at the pools: when I went to dry myself off with the blueish towels, I noticed something smelled really bad. I then noticed it was the towel itself and my skin also started to itch where I dried myself. I imagine that’s because those towels have been sitting there for a while in that humid environment and probably started to develop mold. I then grabbed a towel from the white pile and they were clean. The service was almost exclusively bad and several staff were rude to me and others. Most of the staff seem to really have a way of making guests feel like they’re an inconvenience at every step. As a titanium Bonvoy member, they did say I have breakfast included, but it really felt like they didn’t want to give it.

The hotel room was very clean, has a garage ($20 per night), and it is right off the highway. However, if you are a light sleeper, this is NOT the hotel for you. We were on the fifth floor and it was loud, which I expected since it’s above the pike. My boyfriend and I are heavy sleepers who prefer having background noise when going to bed, and even we were woken once or twice from a passing truck. This didn’t bother us, but if you need silence to fall asleep, buy earplugs or don’t book here.
