WeHo Pride
About This Event
WeHo Pride is the City of West Hollywood's own Pride weekend. For decades LA's main Pride, produced by Christopher Street West, was held in West Hollywood. When CSW moved LA Pride to Hollywood, the city started its own event, and WeHo Pride launched in 2022. So LA now has two Pride weekends: LA Pride in Hollywood and this one in the Rainbow District, usually a week apart.
The weekend has a free side and a paid side. Free: the Street Fair along Santa Monica Boulevard, with community booths and vendors; the Dyke March and the Women's Freedom Festival; and the Sunday parade, which starts at Crescent Heights and heads west on Santa Monica through the Rainbow District to the city's western edge. Paid: OUTLOUD, the music festival in West Hollywood Park run by promoter JJLA, with big pop and dance headliners and day tickets. The Boulevard bars, The Abbey, Micky's, Rocco's, charge cover and fill up from midday.
WeHo Pride normally takes place on the last weekend of May or the first weekend of June, Friday to Sunday. West Hollywood is small and its hotels sell out early for Pride, so book ahead or stay in Hollywood or Beverly Grove and walk or take a short ride. June gloom often keeps mornings grey and mild; afternoons on the parade route are sunny, so bring sunscreen.
The 2026 edition ran from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 June, opening with a Harvey Milk Day event on 22 May. Kathy Hilton was the parade's grand marshal, KTLA broadcast it, and Camp OUT!, a sober Pride party, was added on the Sunday afternoon. The city didn't publish an attendance figure. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
