About this place Circus of Books West
Circus of Books West is a gay-owned adult boutique at 8861 Santa Monica Boulevard. Until February 2022 it traded as Chi Chi LaRue's, then took the Circus of Books name, and Rob Novinger is now the sole owner. It stocks toys, fetish gear, jockstraps and swimwear from brands like Nasty Pig and Prowler Red, plus zines, books and art from queer artists.
It sits in the middle of the bar strip, between Micky's and Fiesta Cantina. The sister store, Circus of Books, is on the east side of the strip at 8230.
