About the venue
Petra's opened in 2007 as a lesbian bar on Commonwealth Avenue in Plaza Midwood. It's now one of the main queer venues in Charlotte, part bar and part small music room…
“First timer and a good time was had! If you arrive between 7 - 7:30, you'll likely get a seat. The only food they sell is chips but you're allowed to bring in your own. They didn't have my drink of choice but the bartender created a great alternative. Tasted great and the price was right! Will definitely be back!” — Bee Mac, Google
“Good drinks, good beer, great bartender, live music” — Russ “RedBadger” Baughcum, Google
