WorldPride Cape Town 2028

Cape Town will host WorldPride in 2028. It's the first time this global LGBTQIA+ event has come to Africa.

WorldPride isn't just a parade. There's a human rights conference, an arts and culture program, social events, and a march. It's meant to highlight LGBTQ+ realities worldwide, bringing together Pride organizers, speakers, artists, activists, and politicians.

Expect more than just the usual festival. The city's LGBTQ+ scene, particularly in De Waterkant Village, will be where much of the action happens, with plenty of venues and parties.

Specific dates and a full schedule for 2028 aren't out yet. But this will be a big moment for LGBTQIA+ pride and solidarity. The City of Cape Town is behind it, and visitors from everywhere will get to see a different side of the city.
