Shaft cruise zone

Had an Epic time at Shaft Cruise Zone last Sunday night. The vibe was pumping from the moment we arrived, with everyone clearly having a great time. The music was solid all night and kept the energy up. A big shout-out! to the barman, Alan , super friendly, on point, and really added to the experience. The Reception overall were welcoming and made the space feel comfortable and fun. Great drink prices, a good-looking crowd, and a lively atmosphere made it a standout night. Definitely a place I’d recommend and happily return. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was our first time at Shaft and we had a blast. The place is clean and there was plenty of towels avaliable. The staff was very helpful

They gave my phone and cards to someone else. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR THINGS.

The place is okay. The bar is good and the drinks are not expensive. Enough to spend some time. Friday and Saturday night, lively.

They’re upposed to close at 2am, but 40 min before they start yelling and flashing lights. Kills the vibe. Waste of time and money.

An amazing place for fun and a great time! The staff is incredibly friendly, but Ishy6brayan truly stood out—he was so helpful, serving everyone with a big smile and a positive vibe. I had to go back and ask for a towel after I checked in and when I checked out, after walking around barefoot on the disgusting floors, I was asked for flip flops which I wasn't given originally either. Reception staff completely disinterested. The place could save money by automating entry instead of paying people to sit around gossiping. I guess SOPs have passed their heyday.

This was my first time visiting, and as a tourist, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but overall, I had a great experience. I went on a Saturday afternoon and arrived by Uber, which dropped me right at the door. It’s clearly marked, and someone saw me coming and opened the door for me. At the counter, I let the staff know it was my first time. The guy was friendly and explained everything: I just needed to sign in, pay 120 rand for entry, and I could hire flip-flops for 25 rand. Lockers were located to the right—they’re double-locked, so it felt very secure. Once inside, there are two cruising levels and a large bar where a few people were hanging out with drinks. I arrived around 2 PM when it was still quiet, but it definitely got busier later. The crowd was very mixed and surprisingly friendly, especially at the bar. The only downside was the bartender (a white guy) who came off a bit sharp when I ordered a beer. I just chalked it up to him having a bad day. When I was done, I paid for my drink—only 39 rand—and called an Uber right from the counter. Within two minutes, I was on my way home. No issues at all with the location or the facilities—everything was clean and well-maintained. I genuinely had a great time and would come back.

Unfriendly staff Locker security: it's best to bring your own small lock. I found my locker that had been opened, which didn't surprise the staff. They have your first name and the locker lock number. With a passcode, it's very easy.
