What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, good food, and convenient location near East Park mall. However, a common complaint is the lack of a generator, leading to power outages during Lusaka's frequent electricity cuts, and some rooms require maintenance.

Fabulous place to stay. Comfortable rooms, hot showers! Staff is tops, always ready to help and on top of it. Great food. Super comfortable common area with plenty of seating to hang out. Beautiful environs with gardens. Wifi good in common area (doesn't reach all rooms). Very secure. Walkable to East Park and Arcades shopping malls.

Quiet and clean place

I had a terrible experience at Natwange Backpackers. The owner, Anita, treated guests with zero respect. She kicked my friend out in the middle of the night just because he wanted to bring his girlfriend. When I stood up for him, she kicked me out too. The behavior was rude and aggressive. This isn’t a one-time issue. Many other reviews mention the same pattern. Staff constantly gossip about guests. It creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. One of my friends even got bed bugs during the stay. Avoid this place if you care about basic respect and cleanliness.

Nice place

First off, thank you Precious for your cheerful attitude and good customer service. We had two rooms here (one room with two beds, other room with three) for three nights, I was thankful that the kids had a bed each. If you're paying in Kwacha the dollar is still being converted at K24/$, not the current rate. We had no hot water to shower the whole time were there. To get a hot shower we were ushered to another shower a couple of rooms over. I didn't like the morning walk through the rain showers to get to the "hot shower" miraculous that we were still charged full price despite this. We had ants in our rooms and our shared bathroom always smelled funky. This place has great potential unfortunately they seem to have let some things slip. Having to trek for a shower was a Nope for me. The Ants and stuffiness, the funky bathroom No. Would i go back?? Probably not.
