TDoR Vigil — Knox United Church
About the event
Transgender Day of Remembrance marks a day each year for the 2S&LGBTQIA+ community and allies to remember, honour, and mourn the loss of transgender, non-binary, and Two Spirit people who have been killed due to anti-transgender violence, transphobia, and hate crimes. Held worldwide on November 20 each year, TDoR was founded in 1999 by trans advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a candlelight vigil to honour Rita Hester, a trans woman murdered in Massachusetts in 1998. Knox United will again host a vigil on Friday, November 20 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. We will open our doors immediately after the rally
