About This Event

Adelaide Fringe, the world’s second-largest fringe festival, takes over the city every February and March. For three weeks, hundreds of venues host queer cabaret, drag, theater, comedy, and performance art, drawing artists from Australia and abroad.

You'll find the festival’s nerve center at the Garden of Unearthly Delights in Rundle Park; its cabaret and circus tents are always good bets for queer acts. With hundreds of shows spread across dozens of venues, you won't lack for queer cultural programming. Combine that with Adelaide's warm late-summer weather and the city-wide party vibe, and it’s one of Australia’s best LGBTQ+ travel experiences.

If you can hit both Adelaide Fringe in February–March and Feast Festival in November, you'll see the full scope of Adelaide's queer cultural scene. This city has been building and celebrating queer culture since before it was legal anywhere else in Australia.
