It's a bit run-down, so it can smell at times, but it's not a rotting garbage smell, so it's tolerable. The amenities are fine. The location is good and it's reasonably cheap, so overall it's good.

Free nespresso and morning snacks are nice. They only do proper cleaning every three days or so. The toilet becomes quite smelly after a while, even when they do proper cleaning

The surrounding streets were deserted. The lobby offered free coffee, hot milk, tea bags, etc. Small bread and biscuits were available in the morning. The coffee was served all day and was quite good. There was a microwave in the room, but no cutlery, which was a bit inconvenient. Airport shuttle service was available for 40 yuan for two people; advance booking was required, which was quite convenient. The room and hallway were stuffy and had a slight odor. Otherwise, it was average.

There are many things to highlight, all of them positive. The location, just 5 minutes from the station, is ideal. You can also walk to the city center in half an hour (passing through lively streets). It's a lovely stroll. The room was simple but very comfortable and clean. The value for money is excellent. In a city like Sydney, you don't find many accommodations with such a high standard at such an affordable price. There's no dining room, but the reception area has a self-service station where you can help yourself to various types of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a selection of pastries and fruit, available free of charge 24 hours a day. A very welcome touch. And above all, the friendliness of the staff, always smiling and ready to make your stay easier. I'd like to especially mention Paola, who speaks Spanish, which is always appreciated, but that doesn't diminish the contributions of the rest of the reception staff. The room's cleanliness was also noteworthy. In short: if I have to return to Sydney, I will choose this hotel again.

Friendly staff, a great location, and clean, well-maintained rooms. The coffee machine downstairs was a nice bonus too.

I usually don't give 1-star for the room, but seeing a cockroach crawling in bed on my last night. I just grossed out and couldn't go back to sleep. Anyway, the location and staff are fine. But cleanliness I am really unsure of and won't stay there again.

Stayed here a while ago, came back again to see if the reviews was true. New front desk staff (we all know which one) can only be described as arrogant, and yes, I do smell ammonia.

Really great experience for the price! We were upgraded for free which is always great when that happens. All the staff were so friendly and supportive! There is a free Nespresso Professional machine in the lobby which honestly means better coffee than some 5* hotels that use cheap knock-off pods in the rooms. There are also free pastries and fruit in reception which basically meant we didn’t have to pay for breakfast the whole time! The rooms are basic but comfy, very well climate-controlled, dark, and quiet. Perfect for a city break trip where you’re only using the room to sleep/shower etc. The location was perfect for us and I’d always rather be slightly outside the CBD because it’s quieter and has nice amenities. Spice Alley is an amazing district and Chippendale is perfect for pubs, food, and art.

I stayed there the other day. I was a little worried because the price was so low considering the good location, but the room was cleaned every day, the towels were changed, and the staff were very kind and helpful. I thought it was really good value for money. One thing to note is that there are no tissues, so I think you should bring your own.
