Very disappointed with my stay. One of the biggest issues was that there was no private bathroom in the room, and this was not clearly stated on the website or during the booking process. Had I known the bathroom was shared, I would have chosen a different hotel. To make matters worse, the shared bathroom was not properly maintained and I saw cockroaches in the bathroom area, which was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. Cleanliness should be a basic standard for any accommodation. The TV in the room did not work for the duration of my stay, and the air conditioning was also not functioning properly. There was also a hole in one of the walls, which made the room feel poorly maintained and in need of repair. To make matters worse, the room had no window, making it feel stuffy and poorly ventilated, especially with the air conditioning not working. The poor hygiene, the non-functioning TV, the broken air conditioning, the hole in the wall, and the lack of ventilation made for a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel and hope management improves both their communication and maintenance standards.

The staff at reception were not very helpful. The elevator felt very unsafe to ride in. The room smelt like mould when we walked in. There were cockroaches in the room. The shower floor was dirty. The bed head was very loose and didn’t feel safe to sleep in

Here’s a polished but firm Google review version: Very disappointing experience. We checked in late after travelling from the Central Coast and were shocked by the condition of the room. Upon arrival, there was a cockroach crawling on one of the chairs, which we immediately reported. The room also had a very strong cockroach/insect smell that was unbearable, and there was even a fly inside the room. I have allergies, and the smell immediately started triggering my symptoms. What made the experience worse was the way our concerns were handled. The receptionist barely acknowledged our complaints and acted dismissive the entire time. The manager refused to provide a refund even though we did not stay in the hotel at all due to the unsanitary conditions. Instead, they offered hotel credit, which we have absolutely no intention of using after this experience. We genuinely did not expect this kind of room condition, especially after gladly paying the AUD 100 holding deposit in good faith upon check-in. Overall, very disappointing customer service and unacceptable room hygiene standards.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from the outset. As part of their policy, I was required to withdraw $100 in cash before check-in, which I agreed to. I asked if I could temporarily leave my bag at reception while I went to find an ATM, but the receptionist declined, despite me having a confirmed booking. This was particularly concerning, as when I returned after withdrawing the cash, I noticed an unattended bag left in the reception area. Unfortunately, the issues continued in the room itself. There was a strong, unpleasant odor, and the bathroom showed clear signs of mold and poor cleanliness. Additionally, all the windows were sealed shut, leaving no option for ventilation. When I raised this with reception, I was told that hotel policy does not allow windows to be opened. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience especially given that the booking was non-refundable. I strongly encourage others to carefully review feedback and do thorough research before booking, as the conditions did not meet basic expectations for comfort or hygiene.

Stayed here a couple of years ago under the Posh Hotel Name. Chose this hotel as I need a hotel in the CBD and walking distance to the Sydney Cricket Ground. The hotel front entrance looks a bit rundown but blends into the city street. Reception was a bit dark, despite being in the middle of the afternoon. Once you get to your room, it's not too bad. Super compact but all the amenities are there. Not the best but also not the worst. Location is the winner here, with transport, attractions, convenience stores, pubs and take-away restaurants all at your doorstep. If you need a central location, this place does okay.
