About this place Mjølner

Mjølner is a Viking-themed restaurant and whisky bar at 106 Hardware Street in Melbourne's CBD, serving Scandinavian-leaning meat-heavy dishes alongside a long spirits list. It is a mainstream, gay-friendly restaurant, not a gay venue, listed here because it is central and well reviewed (4.6 on Google from roughly 2,400 reviews). It sits in the mid price range and gets busy on weekend evenings, so book ahead. For a queer crowd with your dinner, head out to the bars of Fitzroy and Collingwood afterwards.

Great atmosphere, a bit kitsch but not over the top. The beer selection is ok but the whiskey selection is amazing and the staff are knowledgeable.
