About this place ACON (AIDS Council of NSW)

ACON started in 1985 as the AIDS Council of NSW, set up by Sydney's gay community during the HIV crisis. It's now Australia's largest LGBTQ+ health organisation, covering HIV prevention and testing, PrEP information, sexual health, mental health, alcohol and drug support, trans and gender-diverse health, and services for older LGBTQ+ people. The headquarters is at 414 Elizabeth Street in Surry Hills, a short walk from Oxford Street, and is open weekdays 9:00-17:00. Visitors to Sydney can use ACON for advice on sexual health clinics and testing. Check its website for walk-in services before turning up.

First time here last week and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They are professional, friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Bathroom facilities are a tad small and could use with an upgrade. Otherwise fantastic place.
