Sala Siem Reap Hotel

Really huge rooms and bathrooms, clean and ultra comfortable, great bar and pool, all the staff are very friendly and always smiling, we left delighted, good location 15/20 minutes swimming from the river area with restaurants and shops.

Sala Siem Hotel in Siem Reap was an unexpected highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spacious and thoughtfully designed the accommodations were. Our room felt more like a suite, with multiple areas to relax and a balcony that added an extra layer of comfort. After several smaller hotel stays, this felt like a true upgrade. The property itself has a calm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind after long days exploring Angkor and the surrounding area. It’s not overly busy or chaotic, which we really appreciated. Service was impeccable throughout our stay. The staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and professional, and they made the entire experience feel seamless. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. One of our biggest takeaways was simply wishing we had stayed longer. This is the kind of place you could comfortably spend a few extra days just enjoying the space and amenities. If you’re visiting Siem Reap and want a hotel that offers both comfort and a sense of retreat, Sala Siem is an excellent choice. It exceeded our expectations in every way.

We had a lovely time here staff very friendly and honestly could not do enough. We had a problem with air con sorted out straight away. Breakfast was particularly good with a good choice and excellent coffee and hot chocolate, much to the delight of our teenagers. It’s nice and quiet but only minutes away from the centre, pub street and night markets. Opposite the national museum which we did on our first day still suffering from the 27 hour journey. Really nice supermarket next door for all your supply’s, and a quick lunch if you don’t want to go out. In town we liked Viva restaurant for local food and inexpensive. Although the hotel is older and a little dated, we really liked it. Great shower plenty of hot water with good pressure. fridge in a room a must and quiet. Good black out curtains, lovely pool. The only thing for me a welcome drink would have been nice when we arrived late, and mattress hard but after 27 hours travel I slept just fine. A small but pleasant hotel with very helpful and attentive staff. The rooms are very spacious; we booked connecting rooms, which are available. The air conditioning was a bit noisy for my taste. Breakfast is quite good, but for a 5-star hotel, I missed the decaf coffee and the lack of lactose-free drinks. Next door, as other guests have mentioned, is a supermarket, but with prices as high as in Europe or the United States. However, everything is very well displayed. A bottle of sunscreen costs $15. Laundry services are available for $6 per kilo (at least during my stay), which was very convenient. The hotel has a restaurant, which is handy if you're tired from visiting temples and don't feel like going out, but the prices are three times higher than what you'd find on the street. The same goes for massages, which you can also get there, but at significantly higher prices than what you'd find near the old market, where a tuk-tuk costs about $1. (The text abruptly shifts to a different topic: "The hotel has a restaurant, which is convenient if you're tired from the temples and don't feel like going out," but the prices are three times higher than what you'd find on the street.) The location was good for me, especially for heading to Angkor. It's not right next to the city center, but that gives you a peace of mind you wouldn't otherwise have.

Can't say enough good things about Sala Siem Reap hotel. Service, food, drinks, comfort, atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better location for active seniors that went out on their scooter each day to see the surrounding areas based on some of the staffs recommendations. It was a nice touch being greeted in the afternoon and evening with a cool towel. Restaurant was great for breakfast and supper. The lok lok was very tasty when the sauce(not in the picture) is added. Burger and fries were great. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with on the spot made Cambodian soup, eggs how you like them or omelettes. Good selection of fruits and bread or croissants.

Room was very spacious and very clean, great AC! Friendliest staff and super accommodating, they cut up our mango we bought at the grocery store next door and you’re always greeted with a cold towel to freshen up when you walk in. Could not recommend a better place to stay in Siem Reap!

Very nice hotel, 30 minutes walk to the old market. Best part? Safe.. even when walking back from the old market near to midnight. Did it 3 times

I had a wonderful stay at Sala Siem Reap Hotel. The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently located near the city center and the famous Angkor temples. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with beautiful design and a relaxing balcony. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their service made the experience even more enjoyable. The swimming pool area was lovely and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the overall facilities were well maintained. I truly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail during my stay. I would highly recommend Sala Siem Reap Hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Location: This hotel couldn’t have been in a better spot! Right beside it is a fantastic supermarket where you can grab absolutely everything you might need for snacks, toiletries, or any last-minute forgotten items. Plus, we’re literally next door to the King’s Place and no more than a 10-minute ride from the city center and all the major tourist attractions. It made ticking off our entire bucket list incredibly easy and convenient. Atmosphere: The vibe here is pure relaxation — spotlessly clean and super cozy from the moment you walk in. The entire team creates such a warm, welcoming feeling that by the end of our stay, it honestly felt like we’d made real friends with everyone. Rooms: We stayed in a lovely king-bed room with a private bathroom. The closet was thoughtfully stocked with two robes, plenty of hangers, and a secure safe. There’s also a mini-fridge nicely filled with drinks. Our street-side window offered a fantastic view — we loved watching the beautiful sunsets and dramatic rainstorms roll through. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Cleanliness & Noise Level: This place is CLEAN with a capital C! Every surface sparkled, and the whole hotel had a fresh, welcoming scent. Despite being so central, it was remarkably quiet — we never heard any street noise or disturbances, even with our window open. Perfect for peaceful nights after busy days exploring. Value: For everything we got, the value was outstanding. The location alone saved us so much time and hassle, and the quality of the room, amenities, and service far exceeded what we expected at this price point. We felt like we got a true luxury experience without the luxury price tag. Amenities: They offer a great pool (complete with its own bar serving delicious cocktails and mocktails), a well-equipped gym, on-site tour guides, and a fantastic complimentary breakfast buffet every morning. The buffet had an amazing variety — fresh pastries, soba noodles, and so much more — the perfect energizing start to each day! Service: I can’t say enough good things about the service here — it was genuinely exceptional and made our entire trip feel special. Every single time we returned from a day’s adventure, the team had cold towels waiting for us right at the door to cool us down. A huge shout-out to the incredible lobby staff: Karl, San, Nita, and Yan Pai — they were always smiling, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. In the kitchen, David, Koi, and Theara were equally wonderful, kind, and attentive. We truly appreciated every interaction. We booked our floating village tour directly through the hotel, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Cambodia trip. It was so much more enjoyable than if we’d arranged it ourselves — our driver and guide Ly was absolutely outstanding. He shared so much fascinating history about Cambodia and made the experience unforgettable. If you’re heading to the floating village, definitely ask the hotel for Ly — he made the whole day magical! Overall, we couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. The combination of perfect location, pristine cleanliness, comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, and truly heartfelt service from Karl, San, Nita, Yan Pai, David, Koi, Theara, and the rest of the team made our vacation one we’ll remember forever.
