Naz Foundation (India) Trust

Founded 1995 by Anjali Gopalan, the Naz Foundation is one of India's pioneering HIV/AIDS, health and LGBTQ+ rights organisations. Its 2001 public-interest litigation led to the 2009 Naz Foundation v. NCT of Delhi verdict that first read down Section 377, and it continues to run health programmes, an LGBTQI+ helpline and a care home for children living with HIV from its New Delhi base.
