About this place וילה בראון ירושלים | Villa Brown Jerusalem by Brown Hotels

Villa Brown Jerusalem is a boutique hotel in a restored 19th-century villa on HaNevi'im Street, between the city centre and the Russian Compound. It belongs to Brown Hotels, the Tel Aviv-based group known for design-led small hotels. Rooms are compact and styled, and reviews are good (4.3 from about 860). It is a mainstream gay-friendly hotel, not a gay venue. You can walk to Jaffa Road, Mahane Yehuda market and the Old City's Damascus Gate. Jerusalem's gay scene is small, centred on the Jerusalem Open House community centre and a few bars, and Shabbat closes much of the city from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.

My boyfriend and I spent a lovely night at Villa Brown. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. The room was small but charming, and it had everything we could want for a short stay — we were even upgraded to a room with a large balcony upon arrival. The breakfast was delicious. The concierge, Eli, made us feel right at home with his warm hospitality and knowledgeable recommendations. We will be back on our next visit to Jerusalem.

Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, 2-3 minutes walk from the pedestrian street and 10-15 minutes to the market and the old city. The service is kind and wonderful and the breakfast is great. Unfortunately the carpet in the rooms was not vacuumed properly in the corners and the shower has mold that has accumulated and has not been cleaned in a long time.

A very nice and practical hotel, with comfortable rooms and walls made of Jerusalem stone. The breakfast is excellent, and includes a warm butter croissant stuffed with omelette, accompanied by cheese and white sauce. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel in Jerusalem.
