About this place Callas TLV

Callas is a large gay bar and dance club on Menachem Begin Road that opened in November 2025. It is run by Yigal Ranan, who founded Evita, Tel Aviv's best-known gay bar of the 2010s. There's an outdoor patio as well as the indoor bar. Weekdays start with a happy hour from 17:00 to 19:00, Thursday and Friday are party nights, and the programme also takes in stand-up and drag. It sits east of the Allenby-Rothschild strip, so most people come by taxi. Google reviewers give it 4.9 from under a hundred reviews, which says more about its newness than anything else.

I ordered the emerald affair (a melon flavored drink) for about 60 shekels and it was soooooo tasty. The bartenders speak English too which was great. The drag show (which had a cover fee of maybe 50 shekels) was about 70% in Hebrew but they did Eurovision style translations to English! The queens were so talented, the audience was respectful, vibes were perfect, and the people were very friendly!!!! Perfect spot for a night out during Pride Month. There was outdoor seating as well for people to take smoke breaks. Very inclusive environment for queer and trans people to feel safe and have a good time ♥️ Plenty of seating inside too, and music was not too loud
