About this place Evita

Evita is a Tel Aviv institution, one of the oldest gay bars in the city and still one of the most reliably welcoming. The bar sits near Ben Yehuda Street, close enough to the beach that it draws a natural flow of tourists and locals together. The vibe is relaxed — drinks are affordable, the music is at a volume where you can still have a conversation, and there's no dress code or door attitude. Exactly the kind of place you come back to on the second and third night of a Tel Aviv trip.

We sat at the new wine bar of Hippo Tel Aviv. We tasted many dishes from the menu and everything was simply stunning and extremely delicious, with special and interesting flavors! It went perfectly with a wine that suited us. The service was the highlight, really at the highest level!

Let's start with the good, the food is delicious. But.... the menu is completely lacking in flavor, including the desserts. All the dishes are available in any other good restaurant and much cheaper. Prices are very expensive, very expensive. The service is also not wow, a little annoying that they forced you to buy mineral water for 28 shekels and not get a jug. I don't recommend sitting at the kitchen bar, it's hot and not particularly interesting, it's also difficult to get service there. I have to say that in the "dictator's" camp it's much more worthwhile

It was really fun, the food was delicious. We ordered the focaccia, a spicy dish that had chili jam in it that was wow. We also ordered the shish kebab which was really good, and the fish fillet, the carpaccio intias, in short a stunning experience. We sat by the open kitchen. Highly recommend 🌸
