KKR Hotel Hakata

I use this hotel to watch professional baseball games. I like that I can get to PayPay Dome by taking just one bus from in front of the hotel. As a retired national civil servant, I get a 3,000 yen discount per night, so it feels like a good deal, and I use it about eight times a year, staying an average of five nights.

The rice and side dishes are delicious. Especially the potato salad. The desserts are also good. The lunch buffet is definitely worth the price. However, the McDonald's outside the window is a bit of a mismatch and makes me chuckle.

It's a little far from the main shopping area, but there's a McDonald's right across the street and a Lawson convenience store nearby, which is very convenient. Having water dispensers on each floor is also great, as you don't need to buy tea!

I stayed here on March 24, 2026. It's a bit far from the station if you're pulling a suitcase. There's a taxi stand, so it might be better to come by car. The room is clean, but the amenities are old. Other reviews mentioned that the TV could play YouTube, but the TV in my room was old and couldn't play YouTube. The air conditioning seems to be centrally controlled, so even when it says "cooling," it doesn't actually cool down. It's cooler to turn the air conditioning off. Since renovations are planned, I'm looking forward to seeing how it improves afterward. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The amenities were also excellent.

Take the Nanakuma Subway Line from Hakata Station to Yakuin-Odori Station, then it's a short walk. Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is also easily accessible by transferring at Yakuin Station on the Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line. I found it very convenient.

My father and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Fukuoka. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. When we got lost in the hotel, a male staff member kindly guided us, for which we are extremely grateful. The room was spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean, allowing us to relax and feel at ease. Thank you to Ms. Sakurai, the cleaning staff member. We also greatly appreciated the water dispenser service. The breakfast buffet and drink corners were excellent, featuring the "Kyushu Hakata Tamatebako" (a special box of Kyushu-style bento boxes), fluffy omelets made by the chef, and even a unique pancake machine – a truly wonderful experience. Furthermore, when we were heading to Fukuoka PayPay Dome and couldn't find the bus stop, a female staff member from the front desk kindly came out of the lobby to guide us. I wasn't able to properly thank her at the time, so I would like to express my gratitude here. Thank you so much. Also, I accidentally pressed the emergency button during our stay, causing inconvenience, but the staff responded quickly and courteously, for which I am extremely grateful. The barrier-free room was spacious and comfortable, and I felt that the facilities were particularly considerate of elderly guests, making for a very pleasant experience. On the other hand, there were a few minor concerns regarding the facilities. The scratches near the windows gave the impression that the room was somewhat old. It's not a major issue, but I think that future repairs or renovations would make it even more comfortable. The staff were all cheerful and had wonderful smiles, which made our stay very pleasant. Overall, it was a wonderful hotel where we could stay with peace of mind. It was a memorable stay, especially since I was able to stay with my father. Thank you for your hospitality.

I stayed here while sightseeing in Fukuoka. Parking is free for 20 hours for hotel guests. If you are using a mutual aid discount, you will need to bring proof of eligibility. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of Tenjin and Hakata.

The breakfast buffet and the Hakata Tamatebako (a box of local Kyushu specialties) were both delicious.

I was invited to a wedding ceremony and reception. The fantastical, space-like chapel and lush garden were both beautiful. The food was delicious, and the venue staff were all very attentive and thoughtful, making for a truly enjoyable time.
