The hostel had spacious bathrooms, and the individual dormitory beds were also generously sized with lockers for valuables, making them very convenient. The amenities, including toothbrushes and cleansing products, were also helpful. The ground floor houses a cafe that's open 24 hours a day, even after closing time, which is great for people who need to work. The coffee was delicious and served in a large glass.

Excellent hostel and pod/capsule design, one of the best in Japan in my opinion. This is one of the better quality and value hostels that I have experienced in over half a dozen trips to Japan. One of the main reasons why this hostel is top tier is how big and wide the bed pods are in the dorm rooms. In many capsule/pod style hostels in Japan the beds are k. Very narrow spaces with barely a foot of space between the walls and your body. Some Japanese hostels the capsules are sooo narrow, that's not that case with this hostel. You have so much space on the side of the bed and a locker to store your valuables. You can literally have a 2 foot by one foot organization space on top of the base wood of the capsule right next to your mattress and your locker. The sleeping was high quality whereas in other hostels in Fukuoka, Kagoshima and many other places in Japan the hostels and capsules are so narrow and low quality made. This hostel you have an a foot or two of giant space under your bed to store luggage alike suitcases and other. Very few hostels in Japan have that much space where you can slide a full size suitcase or large 60-70 litre rucksack and fit it directly under your bed whether you're on the lower bunk or upper there is just sooo mich space and you don't feel cramped and claustrophobic like so many capsule hostels in Japan can feel like. The only issue I had the whole time I stayed there was having to politely tell this young Filipina girl to be more considerate everytime she pulled her giant suitcase from under her bed because it would make an extremely loud scraping sound when she pulled her suitcase oir so I told her to put one of the large bathmats under her suitcase so everytime she needed to pull her suitcase out she wasn't waking up the 3-4 people directly sleeping in the pods next to her and above her. The suitcase sounded like an earthquake MD unless you have noise cancelling headphones on your head you would hear it. Not even earplugs could prevent the noise, but it was kinda silky how she would make the sound of an earthquake at 10-1am with her suitcase and was completely oblivious the how disruptive her behaviour was so she needed to be confronted about this behaviour because it's not okay t be banging around and making high decibel sounds in a dorm room environment multiple times at very late hours. Some people are oblivious to anything other than themselves and unfortunately when you stay in hostels you do run into these types of people every now and again who have no consideration for other people and don't realize their behaviour is negatively affecting the people around them. So in a situation like that a polite confrontation is warranted to make the person aware of their behaviour and that their behaviour needs to change or you will go to the front desk and report the issue as a second option if the person doesn't correct their willful, not peaceful, and disruptive behavior. Otherwise this hostel is top tier and probably better than 90% of the capsule and pod type hostels you will encounter in Japan. I'm just about to end 2 weeks of traveling on Kyushu Island and I have not stayed in a single property that was anywhere as nice as the big, comfortable dorms and pods at Helio Sapporo. Trust me, this is a great hostel and when your dormmates are considerate and aware of their behaviour it even makes everything so peaceful.

The location is great, and you can consider everything available except slippers. There are always face towels in front of the showers on the 5th floor, and if you need a large towel, you can get one from the 1st floor. This is my second visit, and at this price and condition, I would visit without hesitation every time I'm in the area.

Convenient transportation; a quick walk from the airport by bus. Right next to Tanukikoji Shopping Street, Odori Park, and Susukino. They let me check in and drop off my luggage around 1 PM. The staff, although their English wasn't great, tried their best to communicate. 🤣 I stayed five nights this time and had a great experience. High value for money. The guests in the room were very quiet, and the beds were spacious. There's a 24-hour dining area and shower. Earplugs, toothbrushes, and hair dryers are provided. A small complaint: The toothbrushes already have toothpaste, but the amount of toothpaste felt insufficient, and the bristles were too hard, causing my gums to bleed. 🩸 The elevator has to be taken outside; it must be very cold in winter when it snows. ❄️ But overall, it's a great hostel and highly recommended.

This is a cozy hostel that feels like home once you've stayed there. The aisles between beds are wide, and amenities are provided. In these times of soaring hotel prices, a clean hostel like this is a real blessing.

If you're looking for a hostel in Sapporo, this is by far the best. Highly recommended.

very very cheap hostel in sapporo area.

I had an image of hostels being more desolate, but it was clean, quiet, well designed, had a great scent, and had a great aura, so I was able to sleep soundly. I got the impression that both the staff and guests were very friendly, so I'd like to stay here again.
