About this place Hotel meguro emperor

Hotel Meguro Emperor is a love hotel near Meguro Station, known for its fairytale castle exterior. It opened in the 1970s and is one of Tokyo's best-known love hotels. It is a mainstream property, not a gay venue, and works on love-hotel lines: hourly "rest" and overnight "stay" rates, themed rooms and discreet check-in. Same-sex couples should check the admission policy before going. Some Japanese love hotels have refused them in the past, even though the hotel law doesn't allow it. Meguro is a few stops from Shibuya, and the Meguro River cherry-blossom walk is nearby.

I almost got scammed out of my money by the front desk staff. Plan: [Room Only] 3 PM - 10 AM the next day Arrival: 9 PM (booked) Booked through DYNATECH Travel Booking Service I arrived early, so I asked if I could check in, but I was told there would be an extra charge. I arrived at 3:30 PM. I was told to change my plan to 5 PM and pay an additional fee. Isn't that ridiculous? After several negotiations, they said they would clean the room and I could check in in 30 minutes. They also said there was nowhere else to wait, so I had to go somewhere else. Since I arrived by car, I waited in the car. I have no complaints about the wait itself. The facilities, bath, and sauna were all good. Only the reception staff were terrible. If you book here, it might be better to set your arrival time to 3 PM and then contact them to let them know you'll be late, so you don't get charged that mysterious extra fee.

Chose this hotel for the price, location, and sauna. It was nice option for a couple nights by the river. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was really great especially for the price. Since it’s a love hotel the hours of check in are a bit later and it’s not a hotel you can just come and go from (so if you want a stay on a budget keep that in mind).
