Delicious. Convenient location. Short wait time before being seated.

While walking through Asakusa, I came across "Oban Asakusa," a place I'd heard of before. It's a somewhat unique facility for a sauna, with a different presence than your average public bath or spa. I couldn't help but think, "So this is the sauna I've heard so much about," and took a photo of the exterior as a souvenir. Though it's located in the heart of the tourist area, it has a somewhat closed-off atmosphere, giving the impression of being a place only known by those in the know. It may be difficult to understand for first-time visitors, but once you know the background, it's a uniquely Asakusa side that makes sense. This time, I only got to look at it from the outside, but I felt it was a spot that gave me a sense of the depth of the city of Asakusa and its history of accepting diverse cultures. I think coming across places like this while walking around the city is one of the fun things about exploring Asakusa.
