Excellent, been here many times, and everything is a 5 star for me

Positive: guy who checked us in was lovely..room was clean and warm..hotel is central. Not so positive(but 1st world problems!): I asked for a shower stool when I booked, checked day before but still had to ask staff 3 or 4 times before a stool came up. But when they brought it up, it was an actual stool not a shower stool and it was metal and could have slipped on concrete tiles in shower and it was quite low (not high like a proper shower stool would have been). Consequently, it wasn't used. The bed was a bit high for me - not the hotels fault but prob mine for being kinda short! Suffice to say, I took a running leap to get onto the bed..it was pretty comfy though! Checking out was a pain bc everyone checks out at 10am - and on the day we checked out, there was one person on the front desk - I would have thought there'd be at least three people on! We had to leave our room swipes and go bc we had an appointment.

Unprofessional business. They dont respond to messages sent direct via booking.com. Nor do they answer emails sent direct to them either myself or by booking.com..

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable affordable room.

Had a 60th and 40th birthday event, food was ok. Alot of Curry Dishes. My Favourite is the Salmon and the Potatoes. The dessert is yummy.

James Cook were great when our flight ex Wellington was delayed for 24hrs. Kenneth at the front desk demonstrated expectional customer service and is an asset to the James Cook team. Good access off main highway. Parking onsite. Breakfast in AM solid.

The hotel is in a great location. We were there with a very well known professional pianist. The piano in the lobby was closed although the professional pianist wanted to play. They directed us to the 16th floor. Long story short we were escorted out.. can you imagine a Jullard pianist getting escorted out by the staff as he played in a coat closet? Staff missed an amazing opportunity for entertainment to dazzle guests.
