Unfortunately, the stay did not live up to expectations. The biggest disappointment was the pool area. The guard was very unfriendly, never greeted and seemed constantly busy keeping an eye on the guests. It felt uncomfortable to be sitting almost under surveillance while swimming or sunbathing. The rules were enforced very strictly – you were not allowed to move the sun loungers or bring food and drinks anywhere in the pool area, even if you were far away from the pool itself. This was felt to be unnecessarily strict, especially since the pool area is the only place in the hotel where guests can stay outdoors. The hotel states on its website that they offer WiFi, but this did not match my experience. There was practically no working WiFi in the hotel. If you were lucky, you could get a weak signal at the reception, but otherwise there was no connection. I raised this at the reception and was told that someone would come and help with the WiFi, but it never happened. In addition, only one of three elevators worked, which often led to waiting times of up to ten minutes. Overall, I found the service to be very unwelcoming, and the combination of the strict atmosphere at the pool, the lack of WiFi, and the other shortcomings made the stay disappointing. If good service, a relaxing pool area, and functioning facilities are important to you, I would consider other options. As it is completely absent at this place!
good hotel
We stayed here during the holyweek and I got the room for the lowest price, the room we have is small just enough for my small family, they don’t have a mini fridge but that’s fine because the price was very low when I got it. What important is my kids enjoyed the pool. The view in the pool is so nice.
Good city views and accommodating staffs. There are ants(?) in the counter and the shower in the bathroom does not work.
For me, staying at EON for 5 nights was one of the best re-routes from what we originally planned. The staff were very friendly and always smiling, especially the people working at the lobby. Although I had some issues with the internet, that wasn’t enough to stop me from liking the hotel. It’s very affordable and convenient since everything is easily accessible, and stores are very close to EON. One thing I wanted to ask though, why do the rooms have balconies if guests aren’t allowed to open them? It felt like such a waste of space haha. We were hoping to use it to dry our clothes since we had water activities in Oslob and Moalboal. Overall, I would definitely come back and book the same hotel again. I’ll surely recommend it to my friends and family.
The pillow smells bad, sweaty pillow smell lol but location wise its very accessible. here is my experienced. I wanted to check out the pool area without intending to swim. The security guard followed SOP by asking for my pool access card. Although I had forgotten it, I went back to my room to get it and handed it to him. However, as my sister and I were trying to enjoy the view, the guard started taking photos of us, which I found highly inappropriate. Doesn't the facility have CCTV for guest monitoring? Why is a staff member using their personal phone to photograph guests? This violates our data privacy, and as a woman, I felt incredibly uncomfortable and disrespected. Interestingly, he completely ignored a male guest who was actually swimming. The guard was unfriendly, and due to this unsettling experience, we will not be returning. Next time, please train your pool security staff on data privacy and basic hospitality. As paying guests, we have the right to enjoy our getaway without feeling violated.
