Duaw Davao Pride Parade
About This Event
Davao's pride parade is unusual because the city government runs it. The City Tourism Operations Office first organized it in 2024, and "Duaw Davao" is the name of the tourism office's page, where the parade guidelines are posted. It isn't part of the parade's formal name.
The parade is free to watch along Roxas Avenue, and community groups, schools and businesses march as contingents. Expect politics to come up. In 2024 the city banned chanting foul language and anti-government slogans, and in 2026 the tourism office again told contingents not to make the parade political. Some marchers pushed back, saying pride is still a protest. A separate student- and advocate-led PrideFest also ran in the city in June 2026.
The 2026 parade was on Sunday 21 June, from Roxas Avenue to People's Park. Organizers estimated 18,000 people and 138 contingents, according to Davao Today. Contingent numbers have grown from 98 in 2024 and 104 in 2025. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked, but it's usually the third or fourth Sunday of June.
