Venasa Transgender Network

Venasa Transgender Network is Sri Lanka's first transgender-rights organisation, established in 2015 and based in Colombo. It works on advocacy, public awareness, and direct support for transgender and gender-diverse people, including help for survivors of gender-based and transphobic violence, free counselling, and community-building. The network has been central to pushing for legal gender recognition and better healthcare access in Sri Lanka. It maintains a public presence through social media and partnerships with international human-rights bodies, making it a key resource for trans travellers and locals seeking community, information or support in Colombo.
