Amazing view from the skybar. Free entrance but expect to pay 1000 THB and up for mandatory drinks. Fun for fans of the move The Hangover 2.

In a normal situation, the hotel would probably get 5 stars. We were given a room, which we were told in advance was brand new and that we were the first guests to stay there. Knowing Murphy and his rules, I imagined that there would be glitches and that we would be somewhat of a trial run. Indeed, there was a glitch, which turned out to be significant and we were eventually moved to another room. So far, everything is fine for me The score for the quality of the rooms remains 5. Service: While handling our complaint, there were two employees who tried to dismiss our claim and explain to the spoiled couple that this is how the hotel is run and that we should accept the situation. The score drops by one point for this. To this must be added the large gap in the quality and skill of the employees. Some are excellent and some are poor. For example, at breakfast I didn't finish my dish and they already tried to take my plate from the table. Location: We don't drive in Bangkok. This is a city where taxis are relatively cheap compared to other cities, but there is actually no public transportation option close to the hotel except for a taxi or a tuktuk. You can walk to the nearest pier in 8-10 minutes and take a boat to a variety of places near the river. In general, the staff is very polite and very helpful. It is pleasant to sit in the well-kept lobby. The elevators are fast. The breakfast is varied and delicious. We were on the higher floors of the hotel and the view is impressive. There is a well-known bar on the top floor (64) that we did not drink at, a restaurant with 2 Michelin stars, and two other restaurants, one of which we ate at, the Breeze restaurant, which is expensive but in our opinion worth the money. In general, it is advisable to lower the prices of alcohol, although I think that alcohol can also be obtained at breakfast at no additional charge. I did not check. Cleanliness: Excellent. Bottom line, the hotel strives to be helpful and respectful. It maintains a high standard of food. It is a worthy competitor in the league of the best hotels in Bangkok.
