About this place Indian Hut

Indian Hut, open since 1998, is one of Bangkok’s oldest LGBTQ+ restaurants, a spot for traditional Indian food on Thanon Surawong.

The menu pulls from across India: Mughlai classics, Northern Indian dishes from Jaipur, and Nawabi cuisine. It’s the kind of place you go when you’ve had enough pad thai and want something familiar, done right.

Bangkok’s gay restaurant scene has grown, but Indian Hut has been there for over two decades. It’s a comfortable, unfussy spot, a neighborhood fixture that’s lasted because it just keeps doing what it does well.

Find current hours and reservation details at indianhut-bangkok.com. Its Thanon Surawong address is central and easy to get to. If you’re going with a crowd, or during peak dinner hours, call ahead.
