About this place Bua Restaurant

In Silom, a casual Thai spot that’s been openly welcoming LGBTQ+ diners for years, offers a gentle introduction to Thai food.

You’ll find it on Convent Street, near Sala Daeng BTS station, putting it right in the middle of Bangkok’s biggest gay nightlife area. It’s a good place to start an evening, or just grab a quick meal.

The vibe is easy, no fuss. The menu’s got a solid range of Thai dishes, all pretty well-made and not expensive. They’ve written the descriptions clearly, which helps if you’re new to Thai food and not sure what to order. It’s honest, flavorful cooking in a relaxed setting.

For LGBTQ+ visitors, Silom is Bangkok’s most open neighborhood, and this place reflects that. It’s comfortable, straightforward, and focused on hospitality rather than trying to impress. Good for lunch, dinner, or just a quick bite while you’re out and about in one of Bangkok's livelier districts.

What a wonderful dining experience in Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin! We enjoy the dining concept of bringing local Thai ingredients freshly to the table. The food are spot on, the service is attentive, our servers - Peck and Honey are one of the very kind Thai people we met here. We are lucky enough to be here during their last night of service, we will definitely come back again after the revamp! See you next time.

The dining experience is extraordinary and intentionally curated to have us immerse in the flavourful world of Thai delicacies. Upon arrival we were ushered to the lounge for novel “thai street food”, and then the tour to the kitchen to witness the meticulous cuisine prep. True sensory experience, with the 5-star ambience topped up with the attentive service by Khun Becky, Apichai and the entire service crew. 👍

I had an absolutely fantastic fine dining experience! The food was exceptional, but what truly made the evening special was the incredible service from the team. A huge thank you to Worawut, Honey, Ta, and Air. They were not only professional and attentive to every detail but also wonderfully talkative and engaging, which made us feel so welcome throughout the entire meal. It is rare to find such a perfect balance of top-tier service and genuine warmth. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
