The Standard Grill

The service was excellent. We booked a table to celebrate my husband's birthday, and he loved it. The food was delicious; the grilled steak was perfect, the pork chop was grilled well and not tough. Everything was delicious.

Exceptional cuisine and memorable dining experience. Although the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food, ambiance, and service make it a worthwhile indulgence.

Unfortunately the steak wasn’t quite up to expectations. We ordered porterhouse steak and while the strip loin was medium rare as we requested, the tenderloin had been cooked to almost well done.

Good excellent. Atmosphere wonderful. Good food really great restaurant.

I had an opportunity to visit The Standard Grill and the visit surpassed my expectations. The staff were extra attentive to my needs (I had to take work call out of the blue and they managed to lower the music to accommodate my call) food was great too. Will definitely be back soon.

I purchased a bar crawl voucher for The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon through Megatrix during a promotion. It cost 1900 THB per person and included 6 drinks and 4 snacks, valid at 4 restaurants: Mott 32 Bangkok, The Parlor, Double Standard, and Ojo. Drinking hours were from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. First, pick up your passport at The Parlor on floor L. Then go up to the 5th floor to Double Standard, where you can order food from the Standard Grill. Snacks included: Spicy Chicken Sausage Burger, - Burnt Citrus Boulevardier (very strong Campari flavor, good whiskey), - Ash and Spice (highly noteworthy peat-flavored whiskey), - Inferno Margarita (sweet, sour, and spicy tequila), - Fire & Brimstone Sour (very prominent tamarind flavor, whiskey). I also ordered a cheese burrata. Soft cheese drizzled with sweet and sour balsamic vinegar and basil sauce, delicious. -Orange juice, sweet and sour with a dessert-like flavor.

Food tasted above average overall. However their signature Jack's Creek wagyu was disappointing where Hangar steak that's less than half the price would be my recommendation. 3 of us with no wine / alcohol, 3 mains, 2 sides, 2 appetisers, 1 dessert costs 10k bath.Taking into account value for money, I rate their food 2 stars What prompted me to write this review was their service which was not in line with their pricing. We were the first and only table on friday evening. Table bread came with one serving of butter and a single butter knife. We asked for more butter which came with no corresponding butter knives. Then our 2 soups were served in the middle of the table with sharing bowls (6 in total). After we said we only need one set and can place soups to those who ordered, waiter just walked away with extra bowls. No spoon in sight until we asked for one. The sides came in the middle of the table again and we gave up trying to direct the waiter. Then the sauces for our steak came where the waiter proceeded to lift the pourer to his nose, sniffed it and proudly announced that this one is red wine jus. Mind you all 3 of us ordered wine jus. The only redeeming factor was their venue with nice view and clean decor. But much better view can be found in top floor of the restaurants in the same building. Food is nothing extraordinary but the service received this evening will stay on our mind for a long time

I simple love the aesthetics at this restaurant. The interior design is amazing and the layout makes it so easy to navigate. The soft, warm lighting makes diners feel welcome. The furniture and fittings complemented the colour tone here. I feel the outdoor seating could be a bit warm during the summer months though. Anyway, it was a real pleasure to be able to document this and I had fun exploring the place before I checked out of the hotel. I do look forward to dining here when I return to Bangkok sometime soon.

Outstanding service received at the standard grill. The restaurant has a great vibe and the food was amazing. We will be back!
